coils or springs?
HI All,

I have a 2012 TL AWD have around 125k miles, sitting on stock rims
I believe that it's around the time to change my shock & struts. So i'm thinking of dropping my car 1" - 1.5" would it better if i replace the springs or would coils be better?

I'm a total newbie at this so any help i would appreciate it.

The inconvenient truth
Coils are more expensive but would be better since your suspension now has 125k miles on it. Lowering springs will put extra stress on your stock shocks which already have 125k miles on them.
I went with Tein Street advance coilovers.

Whatever you decide, do yourself a favor (and for the safety of others),stay away from cheap generic/ebay brand suspensions. I'm not saying they are all bad, or legit products from big brand companies that sell on ebay are bad . But from my experiences, those cheap suspension components tend to fail prematurely. And when you're life is riding on your tires/wheels/suspension, you definitely don't want those to fail. I see too many new car enthusiasts go straight to the cheapest(and less safe/reliable) option just to save a few bucks. But they would actually spend less in the long run if they buy a product that was high quality.
+1 for coilovers. The Tein Street Advance is best bang for your buck.
