CHECK TPMS SYSTEM display after installing new TPMS
I installed new Titan TPMS sensors in Acura steel wheels and winter tires on my 2013 TL with Tech Package. I didn't do the relearn process within 20 minutes of awakening the sensors. The CHECK TPMS SYSTEM message came up, along with TPMS ERROR on the tire pressure screen ( and no individual tire pressures shown ). I re-did the wake-up and relearn procedures as I initially should have. The CHECK TPMS and TPMS ERROR messages are still displayed. Does this mean the messages have to be cancelled/reset or is there still a problem to be resolved?

They are Titan sensors from OE Wheels which are guaranteed to work in my Acura. They are supposed to be accepted by my car after 40 seconds driving at 15 mph, following dropping pressure to less than 9 lbs for 5 minutes and then increasing to 32 lbs and doing the relearn within 20 minutes. I took longer than 20 minutes initially, then re-did the whole process as required. I still get the CHECK TPMS SYSTEM display after driving 20 miles at 50 to 60 mph.

Are those sensors guaranteed to work in the 4G TL, because another Acura, such as the MDX, is using a different receiver system ?

Yes, I confirmed with OE WHEELS before ordering that the Titan sensors that they sent were compatible for my 2013 Acura TL Tech Package winter steel Acura wheels. I have contacted them and asked their advice. They forwarded the problem to their supplier and I am waiting..........and waiting to hear back from them. The sheet included with the sensors says to contact my auto dealership immediately if there is a problem but they suggested I wait for a decision from their supplier. I could re-mount the summer wheels to see if that clears the CHECK TPMS SYSTEM message but there wasn't a problem until the winter wheels were installed so I have to think that they are causing the problem. Maybe one sensor is faulty or damaged. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem. I paid $177 for the 4 Titans. My Acura dealer wants $466 for theirs, which is why I bought Titans.

The Titans never did work. OEWHEELS sent me EON sensors to replace the Titans. I installed them following instructions and they didn't work either. I had them programmed at a tire shop and still nothing after 300 miles. Eleven days later they started working and still are. Now I wonder if they are good to go or if they might quit as unexplainably as they started. Anyone else have this experience or thoughts on the likeliness of reliability considering the above stated information???
