Camber Kit

I had H&R springs installed on my SH AWD a couple of weeks ago. I took it back to the mechanic this morning to check the allignment and it turns out I need a rear camber kit. Can you guys reccomend brands and where I can find them? I purchased the springs from tire rack and they do not cary a camber kit.

SPC makes a rear camber kit and i recommend getting it...had it on my car now for over 18months and its work out well in adjusting my camber.
If you need a camber kit for the front in the future get the Ingalls front camber kit it's identical to the SPC but cheaper.
Contact Josh at Excelerate Performance he usually have those camber kits in stock.

Seems like SPC makes two different camber kits for the rear.

They make a 3 arm set and a 1 arm set.

Which one is recommended for the TL lowered on h&r springs.

Thanks

j-power makes camber kits,

front and rear for 240 + shipping.

read some reviews, everyone that had it had no issues. running 2+ years on it.. some of the people that had it compared it to spc, its pretty much same thing besides the SPC stamp on the part..

im going to purchase a set myself.

How much is your camber off in the rear? If it's only 1 degree I'd recommend this kit:

http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-398088.aspx

You need a qty of 2.

If you need more than 1 degree you will need this kit:

http://store.excelerateperformance.c.../i-397295.aspx

You need a qty of 2.

Disregard the pictures on the website. The 3 pc kit looks like this:

my 2009 SH-AWD TL is lowered on H&R springs.. that is my only suspension mod. I have OEM 19" wheels.

I bought my car CPO about 2 years ago. at the time of purchase the dealer installed brand new tires.. they are Falken Azenis PT-722... nothing special but they aren't that bad.... anyway.. i've had my springs on for maybe a year?? and I've started noticing a lot of tire noise.. i pulled of my tires and it's apparent that the inside edges are wearing excessively... and I believe causing the noise.

i was at the dealer getting an oil change and I asked the tech about it - I was concerned maybe i was hearing bearing wear.. as I have spacers - and he listened to my car on a short test drive.. he said no way was it bearings.. he said it is tire wear..

the rest of my tire looks really good.. the outside edges and middle are not even close to needing replacement... in the two years i've owned the car i have put maybe 15k miles on it... not enough to wear out these all season tires.... but the inside edges are worn to the point that I will likely need to replace my tires due to the noise.. on freeway trips it can get annoying.

if the radio is on you don't notice it.. but if you want the car nice and quiet.. it sucks.

i am going to get an alignment to see if I am way out of whacki.. this was the printout from AFTER I got my car aligned.. this was 1/12/13.. which was a few days after the springs went on... my car has not been aligned since...

as you can see my rear has a lot of negative camber... the tire noise I was hearing stated AFTER I rotated my REAR tires to the front and vice versa... so the rears had a lot of wear from negative camber... at least that's my assumption.. and when i moved those tires to the front.. i could hear the noises caused more due to the wear since they were now up front...

i have since rotated them BACK to the back, and just flipped what side they were on....

any suggestions?

do I need a camber kit? if so which do you recommend??

I've been running 2.5 and 2.4 degrees of camber in the rear for over a year and have very little camber wear... camber doesn't wear rear tires toe does... bad toe is however exaggerated by camber... as you were told in the other section go get an alignment... or atleast have a free inspection done and get a new current sheet... 100% your toe is out if you're wearing that bad... now on my fronts at 1.3 and 1.4 camber they are showing wear since they turn side to side...

He's right. Toe effects tire wear a lot more than camber.

Has anyone bought/installed the 6 piece rear camber set by J-Power & is it any good? It seems to have fairly good reviews. I’m thinking about going with the J-Power due to the huge price difference & savings. J-Power 6 piece set - $180 vs $400 for the SPC brand 6 piece set. All replies, comments & feedback would be highly appreciate it. Thanks, Rich.
