Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS Pole Position on 4G TL

So I'm in the process of upgrading my 2012 FWD TL to the AWD 18" rims and am looking at these tires....they seem to be slightly higher rated by Tirerack than the Pilot Sport AS.
Anyone have any good/bad experience with them?

Speaking about tire ratings from TireRack, the Continental ExtremeContact DWS seems to be the best of the bunch, over both the RE970AS and the Pilot Sport A/S+.

Yeah, I've been looking at those too. A co-worker recommended them. I'm trying to stay with Costco since they offer free insurance, flat fix and rotations for life...already used the flat fix before. They only sell Michellin and Bridgestone

I had the DWS and just put a new set of the RE970AS on. So far I like them just as much if not more then the DWS. The sidewalls on the RE970as feel firmer and the car seems to handle a little better. You can't go wrong with either one.

I'm just looking at info on the new Pilot Sport A/S 3's
They seem really awesome, based on what I'm seeing online. The big question is how long will they last. Extreme performance = new tires every 20,000 miles. I'll probably go with the Bridgestones now and watch how many miles people are getting on the Michelin's.

With nowaday's advancing tire technology, extreme performance doesn't always equal to shorter service life.

Just look at the newest Pilot Super Sport summer tire, it is better in performance in dry/wet but yet will also last longer than the top Michelin summer tire - PS2.

The only way to find out more is to wait till this summer when the new tire becomes available to be tested and tried out.
