Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport

Anybody have any comments on the RE760 Sport? Still in search of tires for my 19 inch rims.....i've narrowed my search down to three. The RE760, the Hankook V12, and the all mighty Conti DWS.

The RE760 i can get for $910 (after mail in rebate of $50) mounted and Roadforce balanced....so not bad which is why i'm considering.

Thanks

The RE760 is a very heavy tire @ 29lbs for the size 245/40/19.

I was considering this tire today but never realized to ask that question. So which one besides the contis will be a light tire.

I had the 760's on my mercedes and like the handling (especially turn in response), but they didn't last more than 15,000 miles. Loud tire after 6,000 miles as well. Hope this helps.

same bad experience with the Potenza. I replaced the original Potenza on my Z4 with RE760 because they were cheaper. They have good grips, but didn't last long. Changed to Continental DWS and was very happy with them. 35k miles after tires still look good.

i just had the V12s mounted on my new wheels 2 weeks ago. so far i really like them. they arent super loud and they have better traction than stock. I cant say anything about tread wear yet since theres only a few hundred miles on them. i only paid about $900 for all 4.

Why would you choose between a summer tire (v12) and all season (dws) for your summer set of wheels?
