Air leak at Valve stem ... TPMS is done???

Hi all,
After parking for awhile waiting for the airbag recall, one of my tires has a leak and it's right at the valve stem (see picture)

Is it only the valve stem or do I need to replace the TPMS?
Thanks..

make sure the schrader valve inside the stem is tightened.

at one point in time, i kept loosing air through the valve stem and even tried to buy TPMS, but all the tire technician did was tighten the little tiny schrader valve inside the stem

Found it. It's called Valve Core Torque tool. I'll get one from Walmart. Even if it doesn't fix the problem, it's still useful for the future..
Thanks for your help.

TPMS sensors have a sealing washer (much like an oil drain plug washer) that can be replaced if they are leaking - 1$ or so as opposed to 60$ for a sensor.

Yeah this ^

I had a leaky valve stem and it ended up being the sealing washer. I have the same wheels as you.

On our TPMS they don't have a rebuild kit because the stem does not detach from the sensor itself but if you can get Honda/Acura to sell you the rubber gasket/sealing washer it may solve your problem.

Honda/Acura does sell a TPMS rebuild kit for its tire pressure sensors.

When I spoke to the parts guy at Acura he said the The 4G TL Techs sensors are considered all-in-one and the lowest repairable item is the ~$100+ TPMS sensor.

They will sell the washer, grommet and core but it's not like in previous versions of the sensor where the whole valve was replaceable. I had mine out the other day and the guy showed me. He put a new grommet and washer on it and it was good to go.

I had my sensor replaced last year because it was seized and they couldn't just replace the washer or seal. happened again last week and this time they were just able to replace the seal only.

I been having slow air leak in my tires as well, went into a tire shop and they said I have a nail that hit the valve stem causing the leak. They were gonna charge me $60 to fix. I told them to hold off, cause when I got my tires from the dealership and it came with some road hazard.

But I think they screwed up my valve stem because now I can't put more air into the tire.

Found one at Autozone for $3.99 because it took too long for Walmart to ship.

Turn it clockwise until I've heard two clicks... Problem fixed.
I went around the other the 3 wheels and made sure they are all good.
I'm thinking about check them again every 10K miles interval just to be safe.

I bought one of those tools suspecting another one of my wheels is having a slow leak and to my surprise, the schrader valve is different on it. The 2 wheels that I had which were fixed under warranty can be torqued with the valve core torque tool but the other 2 original ones have a flat surface on the inside and nothing can be done. I suspect when it is serviced, they replace the old type valve with the more standard schrader valve.

Can you bring it back and see if they can do anything about it?
I think they can work with you if you have a good relationship with the dealer..

Wow I wish I saw that earlier when I was at the dealership. They wanted $300 to replace the tpms so I had to go somewhere else to get it replaced cause I was having a slow leak.

Went full circle. My 4th wheel started leaking over the weekend. So went in to get my Prop Shaft replaced and due to some courier issue, the part didn't arrive so they took a look at my front driver and rear passenger wheels for the leak instead. Both TPMS were seized and they replaced both under warranty.
So now I have 2 new TPMS as of this year. A new grommet on another front wheel that sprung a leak in May/June and a new TPMS for last years leak.
3 new TPMS sensors replaced because they were seized and the one that wasn't seized got a replacement grommet!
Good thing hey were covered under warranty or else I would have been out $120 per TPMS that was seized.

Thanks everyone and thank you to the person who named what the tool is. I thought the issue was with my tire but I had the same issue after getting winters. Too bad the tire installer didn’t catch this.
