2012 TL Wheel Locks
Will someone please confirm that these wheel locks work with the 2012 FWD Tech Acura TL? The part Number is 08W42-SJA-201A. My local Acura dealer does not find the part number in their online catalog. Thanks for your help.

Only goes up to 2011. But if it works for 2011, it works for 2012 (in this case - wheels haven't changed specs).

Thanks for the quick reply Bearcat94. The reason I posted the question is that my local Acura dealer could not find a part number in their online catalog.....still waiting for a response from them.

Just confirming what you already know, that is the correct part number. Looking at my wheel lock package as I type this reply.

I installed the wheel locks mentioned in my original post (08W42-SJA-201A) on my 2012 TL. The locks stand proud of the rim by more than 0.25". Is this normal for Acura wheel locks in previous years?

Thanks for your comments...and, I agree....they look bad. I removed the locks and installed the original lug nuts. We'll have to wait-and-see if Acura feels the same way.

I think the lugs for the 2012 are 14x1.5.

The locks are cheaper through McGard. I never got around to ordering a set, but when I replaced the key on the RDX the CSR told me that they have a Do Not Sell clause in their agreement with Acura. However, you could just go on-line or call 800-444-5847 (US and Canada) and order the part "ala carte"

Thanks Mr. Fungo. I received a call from my local Acura dealer last Friday informing that the wheel locks for my '12 TL are in stock. The part number you listed sounds like the part number he quoted over the phone....we'll see.

Back at it with the TL SH

Will 12mm x 1.50 Thread Pitch fit? I found these and they look cool.

Can someone tell me if they fit the 2012 TL.

If anyone knows the Acura part number for an SH-AWD so the wheel locks don't stick out (but rather have the same length as the regular lug nuts) that would be much appreciated. Looks like the 08W42-SJA-201A stick out quite a bit.

Don't waste your time looking for aftermarket wheel locks for your 4G TL's.
Only McGard makes them, but are available only exclusively to Honda/Acura dealerships and no where else.
And they DO stick out when compared to all other lug nuts.
But we have no choice; either install the stick-out wheel locks or don't install locks at all.

Not sure what the exact differences are, but my dealer installed part number 08W42-TK4-200 on my 2012 SH-AWD Advance.
They don't seem to stick out, so it looks like this is the part number everyone's been looking for!
EDIT: Confirmed by my dealer: 08W42-TK4-200 is shorter (30mm), 08W42-SJA-201A is 35mm.

^^^^^ In fact, if you ever lose the key to your wheel locks, simply go to some big tire stores. They have special tools to remove wheel locks even without keys.
And this is also how thieves can make away with your expensive rims, even if you put 5 different wheel locks on each of them.

I believe 14x1.5 is the size that I've used.

sorry to bring back an old thread...i getting a cert used 12 TL awd and don't have wheel locks.
my civic si that i am trading in has them i was planning on keeping the locks and move it over to the TL, however it sounds like it won't even fit.
civic si = 12mm 1.5
TL awd = 14mm 1.5
is that correct?
