2012 TL rim upgrade

I just bought a 2012 BWP TL tech. I HATE the stock wheels on this car! So...I am looking to buy some wheels. I want to try to stay with some Acura rims if possible, but I don't like the wheels that are offered as an upgrade to this car. What other Acura rims will fit this car. I like the MDX A Specs, but I'm finding them with a different bolt pattern. Do they make those with the 5 x 120 bolt pattern? How would I be able to tell if they have the right pattern if I'm buying from ebay? Is it listed on the back of the wheel?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I love Acuras and Acurazine. I just traded my 2006 TSX on this TL, so I'm staying in the Acura family.

07+ MDX Wheels
05+ RL Wheels
09+ TL Wheels
10+ ZDX Wheels

Personally, i like the Optional 20" ZDX Wheels... I was contemplating buying them for my PM SH-AWD TL... They will run about $1800

you can go with the 4G Optional 19" Diamond Cut Wheels ($1600), or the 19" HPT Wheels ($1100)

Also, the MDX 19" Advanced Wheels are nice ($1100)

i honestly, dont know for sure... Acura TL 18" A-Specs were about 27.1 lbs if i recall correctly. I know the ZDX wheels will be the heaviest for sure.

My "guess" would be the HPT wheels 19" wheels..

if its lightweight you want, best not go for OEM.... A pair of Enkei SP03s are nice (had them on my 08 TL-S)... 19" wheels, around 20lbs a shot, good looking, and strong... and fairly priced ($350~ a Wheel)

HPT are 32lbs each (I have'm), which is quite heavy for a 19" wheel.

Yea, but being the tank wheels that they are they haven't bent or cracked in NYC streets

Compared to my 18" alloys, my 19" diamond cut wheels fell very light weight to me.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post ebay auctions, but I was wondering if either of these would work? Can I get some help?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300378802270...84.m1423.l2649

or

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350192667955...S:1123&vxp=mtr

The sellers are being no help to me in answering my questions.

Thank you, but stupidly it's the only mod I cheaped out on; was 320 for rotors & pads. They perform VERY well, especially compared to OEM but the rears were shipped without proper coating, after about 1/2 a year use the black paint has already begun to fade and they're not exactly quiet. Ahh and how can I forget... On a bear mountain run this past fall I managed to get them hot enough to smoke for over 10 minutes although it was quite cold out; I'm pretty sure that resurfaced all four lol..

Anyway, I just saw a WDP (FWD) 4G with chrome 20" ZDX wheels, lowered in NYC They looked good (not my taste though as I don't like chrome rims) and MASSIVE; I wanted to take a picture but the driver was leaving as I was walking by.

Will an offset of 55 work on a 2012 TL?

Depends on the wheel width. IIRC the stock size/offset is 8" wide and +50 - so +55 should work, but would look even more tucked than the stock wheels. I'm not sure if you would have issue with break clearance - so would be something to check.

^ OEMs are a scary +55.... so high!

All OEM 4G TL wheels are x8 +55.... 17, 18 or 19

If you stick with an 8" wheel... +35 ~ +40 would be a nice fit. Personally, i think a 9 inch wide, +45 wheel would be a perfect fit

both will work... dont waste your money of the 18" RL A-Specs... not worth it... the ZDX A-Specs (technically, those are MDX A-Specs) will fit, but that style is kind of played out

Check these out

^ the 2nd set, was what i originally wanted to put on my PM TL.... they are a nice gunmetal.. i just never went through with it... maybe in the spring time

4G FWD with ZDX 20's, the car appears to be lowered but it's not. He also chromed the door pillar trim. He told me they 10" wide, I'm unsure if that's true or not.

20 x 9 +45.... I've had my eye on those for a long time.. i knew they would fit good

problem is, they are probably 33-36lbs a wheel... yikes!

I have a new 2012 SH AWD. Having H&R springs installed next week. I'm also looking to upgrade to 19" wheels with two goals in mind: Sub 25lb per wheel, with a minimum 9" width. I want to avoid any "fit" issues, not interested in rolling fenders, etc. I'm assuming a 9x19 will work?

19x9 can work, it all depends on the offset. You might also want to think about whether the wheels are hub centric and of course they need to have a 5x120mm bolt pattern.

The hub is the part of the rim that connects/sits on the bolts. If the rim is not hub centric there will be ride vibration.

^ very nice wheel choice. I would go with the Gunmetal instead of the BBM color.

I would part with my 19" OEM 2012 Advance wheels/tires, same as Sarge but w/ original finish

May be willing to trade for smaller stock wheels for snows

That sounds interesting. I have a 2012 TL SH-AWD w/Tech 6MT on order and should be in by the end of May. It'll have the 18" OEM wheel & tires. This could be an interesting trade. Whats the mileage on 19's?

About 53 lbs (with air) - this is with my winter tires though - so +/- a cpl lbs maybe.

^^^^^

What's the make and model of your winter tire ?

If we subtract the winter tire weight from the 53lbs, then what's left will be the weight of the 18" OEM wheel.
