Wheel bearing gone bad at 30k?
Hi everyone - just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this problem. My car (12 TL AWD) is almost 30K miles and just had the A1 services last week. Since then, the car has been making a humming/droning sound starting around 30mph. The sound changes pitch with speed, and is most noticeable between 30-50 mph. It kind of sounds like gas-powered scooters hiding in the front of the car (for lack of a better description).
Anyway, I went back to the dealership this morning, a technician drove the car with me, heard it and rotated the tires again thinking it may just be difference in tire tread wear. I just picked up the car and it's still there. Now they think it's the wheel bearing. I'm not "too" concerned since it's under warranty, but it just seems to be premature for the wheel bearing to go out at just 30k miles (blame it on DC pot-holes?)
Anyone else had this problem? The steering wheel doesn't vibrate and the car doesn't pull to either side - so it's no alignment. Everything is fine except for the sound...Thanks!!

I haven't had problems with my wheel bearings on the TL yet. However, with my last Acura RSX Type S, my rear wheel bearings had to be changed not once but twice before it reached 90,000 km (~55,000 miles).
