There should be a "low oil" warning light that would come on before the oil level is so low that the engine would be damaged. Which has nothing to do with the "time to change the oil" message in the MID.

Even though there isn't a "low oil level" warning light on our 4G TL, there is a "low oil pressure" warning light on the instrument dashboard.

Can the dealership go into the car's computer and pull maintenance history of the maintenance minder?

sounds like my car haha. After doing the oil consumption test, they told me that my car burns 1qt every 700 km O.o I was literally having to add a bunch of oil inbetween oil changes or id run out
