Low growl at 1200 - 1500 RPMs
All,
Let me first say, thank you for all the information you all provide. I've learned so much in the first 2 months I've had my '09 SH-AWD.
Anyway, ever since I got the car I've noticed a low growl and vibration (either from the engine compartment or the front end) when maintaining speeds between 1200 and 1500 RPMs. When I accelerate through that range, the noise goes away.
I'm wondering if any of you have experienced this, or if any experts might know what is causing it. For the quality that this car is, it shouldn't be producing noises like this. I hope someone can me identify it before I call the dealer.

Hey, i had that same "growl" in my 2010 TL SH-AWD, and i know almost all TL owners between 09-11 had this issue. Only with the Automatics, and i've been told that it is normal, just the nature of the beast. I think it has to do with the 5spd Auto Tranny, but it used to bother me also, until i just accepted the fact that it was a normal trait. You'll soon forget about it.
