2013 TL FWD

Trying to find some help determining what’s causing this humming noise from the engine area. Lasts couple mins after shutting off car.

Some possible causes:

• fuel pressure regulator
• A/C compressor and expansion valve

 

The pressure regulator is located in the fuel tank, the AC compressor is mechanical, it does not work when the engine is turned off

 

There are only 3 electric motors under the hood that can make this noise.
1. Throttle Body.
2. IMT activator on the intake monifold.
3. Steering rack and pinion.

To localize the noise, first try to disconnect the IMT activator
