Interior/Trunk Lighting only works intermittenly AFTER SRS Airbag change/recall
(2010 Acura TL/SH/AWD Tech (55k mi)
After receiving my notice for the airbag recall in April 2016, I contacted a local Acura Dealership. I was told I'd get a call after part came in (Drivers side only effected in the recall I'm told) August 2016 still no part, September Still no part, Finally after receiving additional recall notices, in November 2016 (and me asking for a loaner) they replace it. A few days after it is replaced= Interior/and Trunk lighting only works intermittently. Open doors or trunk, lighting may work, open again and no lights, Or the opposite. *Mind you we are not referring to a single bulb issue here. Took it back to dealership who of course deny any knowledge of such an issue saying all they messed with was the SRS Computer. After a bit of research found that it may be possible the Circuit the interior lighting is on could be related to the door/trunk switch which tells the SRS system those items are closed or open. Any info? Please help as the dealership is clueless re this.

It may very well be your battery is drained. Non-SRS problems out there with lighting issues when battery is nearly empty. Did the dealer write on the work order anything like "battery checked, passed, ok"? They should for every car that comes in regardless of the work they need to do, its part of the process they need to follow. Just some thoughts...
