I have tried to search for any help with removing my cluster, but haven't found any help.
I bought my 2009 TL AWD about a month ago and I have a slight rattle or vibration noise coming from the Cluster. I want to remove it and see if I can put a small piece of foam at the point where the cluster bolts to the dash. I have read that other people have had similar noise coming from this area so I was curious if anyone had any advise on how to remove the cluster. Thanks

I have a slight noise from there as well, after the car gets warm inside it goes away though.

Today I figured out where my rattle is coming from. It's the top of the clear plastic cover, right below the MID. I pushed on that spot while driving and it went away. I shouldn't have to do this but I'm going to wedge some paper in there to press that plastic cover back. Not a lot of paper just a small strip or two should work.

I have removed my cluster (to install an LED indicator above the MID). There is 1 Phillips screw in the top black cover that you will need to remove. You will also need to pull on the black trim around the key slot area (for those with tech packages) which is below the cluster, its just held in by some clips. There are two Phillips screws behind this trim (one on each side) that will need to be removed. Once you have these out, I was able to get the cluster out with the black cover still installed on it (but I couldn't get it back in place with the cover on it). There are four Phillips screws on the top of the cluster that hold the black cover on, I would recommend taking these out if you want to take the cluster out from behind the steering wheel.
