Factory Alarm isues

Hi. First time posting, so pardon me for any mistakes.

I have a 2012 Acura TL AWD (tech) and my alarm keeps going off at random times. From the other threads that I have read, replacing the door jamb sensors should remedy this. I plan on doing that today. My concern is that the hood latch sensor is the one that is causing the issues.

A little background on the issue-- Normally when I lock my car with the keyfob, 2x, I would hear a beep from the car. Recently, that sound disappeared, which caused me to think that something isn't right with the car. And now the alarm goes off intermittently.

Has anyone replaced or fixed a hood latch sensor? If so, how difficult is this and would you know rough costs associated. I want to do this myself, I can't seem to bring myself to pay for Acura service.

Thank you in advance any help.

sensor is built into latch.

replace latch

you can trouble shoot by seeing if you have continuity at the latch sensor wire harness.

assuming, latch isnt that expensive, you can do it yourself for the price of the latch.

and of course some tinkering with replacing it.

Hey, I was wondering if the latch took care of the problem? I am having the same issue.
