AC question....not real cold

Hey guys I have an 09 TL and the AC doesn't get real cold. It has been hot here lately and I have it full blast on the coldest setting (LOW) and it takes a while to cool down the car. We also have an 07 Camry and that thing will freeze your face. I was wondering if any of you guys have this issue, or if I should take it and have it looked at. Would warranty cover this? Thanks

Have the pressures checked out before you add any refrigerant. Have you noticed the compressor operating any differently than normal? Such as turning off and on more frequently?

It may have to do with the refrigerant charge. Read the following thread :

Sir, put the AC recirculate mode. Put a thermometer in the center vent. After the AC settles down u should read 40 degrees. Most vehicles I have checked, will only go as low as 40. If its 45 or more, it's not working right.

A/C Not blowing cold

Have the dealer check the freon level. My 2012 was delivered from the factory with a leaking seal and low freon.

I had the same issue on my 09. I’ve never owned a vehicle where the air bit out so quickly! I live in a colder climate and the air does not get turned on very often. I took it to the dealer and they admitted they had no clue. They detected no leaks and recharged. All in all, the air works better but is still not ice cold. My 02 Accord's air was never recharged and was still colder. I also noticed my ac fan is constantly cycling. I just hope this is not a precursor to something more major, especially since im at the end of my warranty period.
