AC doesn't switch to max mode?
I have a problem with my 09 TL. I think it has always been this way, but started bothering me again now that it is getting HOT in Texas.
When I get in my car and start it after it has been sitting out in the sun - with the AC set to Auto and the temp synced and set to 67 - the AC comes on and blows normal. It doesn't jump to max blower and turn on the recirculate - just blows like normal. It will cool it down after a bit, or I can hit the recirculate and crank up the blower speed. Seems to me every other car I have owned (or been in?) the AC switches automatically to max mode when it is started and the interior is hot?
Anyone else have this problem - or heard of it? I have an appointment for 30k check on Wednesday and plan to have them look at it... would appreciate any additional info!

Yeah, something's wrong if you have it on full auto and it doesn't blast on recirculate when you first enter a hot car.
Good luck. Let us know what they find.

Agree. If you turn on the A/C and set to AUTO mode inside a very hot car, the Recirculate button should always light up until the cabin temp becomes cooler.
Otherwise, the A/C isn't working correctly.

It seems to me that you wouldn't won't the recirc on initially. It will just recirc the hot air inside the car which can be 140-150°F whereas the fresh air from outside will be at most around 100° (ok maybe 110 in Texas). When the temperature inside the car is below the temperature outside is when the recirc mode is effective as the evaporator isn't working as hard to cool the air.
