2014 Torque Converter issue resolved???

Ok, I've read much on the 4G TC issue and really want to prepare myself for when the day comes...if it does. I just purchased my car new about 2 months ago. I have about 2500 miles on it. I don't have any shuddering or grinding noises but I do notice that the car will occasionally shift to 2nd at what seems like a very early shift point under light acceleration. Like I haven't even gone 15 feet from the stop sign and RPMs are at like 1800 and I feel it shift to 2nd. Seems like that would bog the engine more than you'd want it to, in addition to the obvious problems associated with the TC. Can anyone confirm that they have made any changes to the 2014 regarding TC issues? I'm suspecting not. I'll probably just bide my time and get it replaced under warranty as late in the warranty as I can, if it should happen to me.

The 1st -> 2nd shift is normal. It's trying to get you in a higher gear for fuel economy. S mode will delay it a little longer, as will heavier throttle, a turn or hill.

I have a 2012 and I put 53K miles on it in 18 months and the transmission and TC have been great. I usually drive in manual sport mode, but once in a while I drive in D and when I do the trans shifts quiet and smooth. Can't even notice lockup.

Maybe mine was built on a Tuesday.
