I was at the dealership today having my 3g TL looked at for mechanical work. I was told a 4g TL was on the lot in the back. I walked back there and there were 4 mechanics standing around the car and a service advisor sitting in the drivers seat. I went closer to hear what they had to say about the car. One guy stated he like the way it looked but it would look better if it had the kit and 19inch wheels. The rest agreed with that comment. I then said how do you think people will react to the beak, that sheild on the front of the car. Everyone was like yeah it does throw the car off a bit. One guy said maybe an aftermarket company will make a grill for the car. The service advisor tried comparing the TL's grill to Audi's new square shaped grill. At first it was hard to get used to but then he grew to like it. So he said hopefully the TL's grill will do the same for him.

I didn't like what I saw. Nothing excited me like the 3g TL did for me. Nothing got me aroused,

I guess we will see, time will only tell what Acura will do about the grill. If people are receptive to it or not.

One positive note: it looks like they may have done a better job matching the paint on the bumpers! I've had 3 WDP TL's (00, 04, 08) and none of them have to this point.

Was this at Fountain Acura on OBT? My work blocks photobucket so I can't see your photo, but I was there yesterday to ask about a part for my 2nd gen TSX and they had two of them. A white one up front(the ugliest car I've ever seen this side of Romania) and a grey one in the back which looked a little better(or not as bad). A salesman walked up to me and asked if I liked it, and I flat out told him no. I asked him the same question and he said yes, and then I asked him if he was sure. I think he was lying through his teeth.

This has to be the ugliest car no joke. No wonder it was on the top 10 ugliest cars list I pointed out (red circle) the ugliest part of the car.

The rear is like that so people don't say it looks like the Accord like the RL does...the last photo it's very blatant Accord is there somewhere.

Personally i like the TSX, the RL, then this, with the new styling...even the enw RL grew on me...this one..can't really say so yet.

But i still like the older RL and TL better.

Never thought the introduction of the 4G would drive the value of my 3G, but that's gonna be the case for sure.

This thing looks like an RL and Accord had an ugly baby with bad teeth.

The ONLY thing I'd be looking at right now if I was in the market for entry level luxury sport... G37S

i went to my local dealership thursday to see it. outside there was an '09 TL NBP and an '09 RL NBP right next to each other. neither impressed me.
then i walked into the showroom and saw the TL in WDP, took one lap around it and i got a Kanye West smile! holy SHIT it looks good in WDP! (this coming from a die hard NBP guy)
i hate...HATE the new TL in silver and black, but the WDP is my next car!

...you HAVE to see it in person! trust me! (those pics don't do it ANY justice)

(i'm still not a fan of the beak, but this car is damn sexy and someone needs to come out with an aftermarket part to get rid of that nasty ass red shit on the rear bumper!)

checked out the car @ dealer yesterday...it doesn't look any better in person...damn!
but interior is nice though!

Ya know, i've never said anything on the 4G TL before at all... i thought to myself, no, i don't like it...

but...then i thought about a few years ago....

Early 2000's, people were rocking this

and then the 3G came out... stock form... everybody bashed on it...

NOW.. the 4G came out, everbodys talking bad about.. i said to myself.. "...eh.." but i saw on in person.. and still eh... then thought about what a little love to it can do








and a factory lip, nice wheels, some custom headlights or smoked tails and reflectors... and presto ((sorry only pics i could find to p/s... was a bad resolution)

now thats some kinda factory wheel, and factory suspension... drop some nice 3pc 20's on there, a little tein coilover action.. it can look hot.. so hot... that i may consider this... but would wait til the 2nd or 3rd year of production...
