Tint, De-badge, Wash & Wax
Well, I took advantage of the AMAZING weather this weekend...
Tinted my car in my driveway (with help from a pro)
DeBadged the rear
Washed
Waxed
Stage 1)....car is only 10 days old
i am going to take things slowly... i plan on doing my headlights and lip kit in about 2 weeks
(p.s., check out my neighbors bad-ass 3G in the background)
And here are my two 3G TL's

2008 TL-S

Looks sharp, i need to get around to de-badging myself, also nice selection of tunes, "Can I getta" and "Renegade" are hot tracks, I can't wait for the blueprint 3 to come out Sept 11. How dark is the tint?

i went with 20% this time around... .last two TL's were 15%... too dark
Yea, the USB plug is the SHIT! i grabbed a 16gb flash drive and went wild.... put on some old school music.... instead of burning discs.. im just digging up all my old flash drives i had laying around...
I used Meguirs NXT 2.0 wax... it is the best in my opinion... really brings out the pearl, unfortunately, its a bitch to take off... but worth the extra elbow grease

Looks great! I think debadging goes a long way on the 4G. Mostly becuz I do not like how angled they come, which I suppose is unavoidable due to the contours of the trunk. Anyway, car looks great. You have good taste with the mods you do.

so what are you gonna do to the lights? I don't actually hate the 4G, but i can't really figure out what you could do to make it look better.
have to admit, the lip kit on the 4G is definitely gonna be more aggressive looking than the 3G kits, esp in WDP

btw your plates DO say ESE
debadge was a good move, tints def look nice, white on black theme i dont think will look good this time around, unless you do some wacky 2 tone, but then it won't look lux.

How much did you sell your 08 TL-S for?? Did you get a good deal on ur 09 TL and how much?? I have an 08 TL-S too but I was wondering how much they be going for right now with low mileage.

I got an AWESOME deal on the SH-AWD too.... they were trying to clear some out before June ended... funny thing, they didnt even have this car.. they went to brooklyn to pick it up for me... i think i paid $37,850 for the SH-AWD/Tech....not bad for a $43k sticker

im just gonna do the lip kit, and partially black out the headlights... remove the amber, 6000k top and bottom with some switchbacks.... and im gonna done for this summer....
i plan on enjoying a nice smooth riding luxury car for at LEAST a few months, before i start lowering it with 2.5" exhausts pipes again
but as for my neighbor
thats no "stockie" TL.... its a type s, fully catless with Greddy Evo2 and engine mounts, and pulleys, p2r intake etc...... just as fast as my Type-S was... plus hes dumped on teins, aspec kit, headlights, 19"s etc...etc...he actually hydro-locked it 2 weeks ago, but me him and his friend got it running again

Enjoy it man, and don't worry about anyone's opinion. I'm not a fan of the 4g yet, but I have the feeling YOURS will change my mind very soon. You've always made sick choices with your 3g's so I know your 4g will be hot. Looks like an airplane cockpit inside! NICE!

i got a nice deal on mine as well. i was not going to be bagde it thinking about got it tinted.. looking for mud flaps and was going to do the 3m bra on the front that is clear so the rocks stay away... just got mine 2 days ago

hmm now that you got a 4G i'm starting to think of getting one. I was planning on dumping the TL for the '10 RDX, or maybe even the '10 Edge ..
haha but i totally hear ya on the whole SLOW moddin - definitely enjoy your ride for a bit more
hey if u do any of those mods and could use an extra pair of hands lemme know!

Yea, i also took a 3 hour drive the other night to Atlantic City, and i tell you..it was nice having a super quiet, smooth, comfortable ride, with the air conditioning on.... and not having to worry about dips/bumps/potholes
i think Rodney made a good point up front.... this car is definitely a candidate for AIR.. instead of race springs/shocks

I would want to kill myself too!!! my ATLP setup, with a HFC, was still pretty damn loud and the drone.... jesus... im half deaf because of it!!!
New Car is a Dual exhaust... not dual muffler, dual exhaust =)
and as for the suspension... i was on the belt the other day... in the LEFT LANE!!! with no worries.... but when i drove my two 3G's over there, it was like walking on glass..... especially in the left lane, between exits 7 - 12.. near the drawbridges... its like little mountains and craters all throughout the road

Black on black. Btw I've just received the HELMs complete manual for our car now in case you're in a jam. Also I've popped off the front bumper already, pretty easy, just watch out for the outside temperature sensor. I didn't realize it was attached to the bottom bumper and broke the clip on it.
