SocaBebi's WDP

Hi everyone! My name's Trevor and I've been lurking on here for YEARS. I finally bought my 4th gen back in September after wanting it for so long, so I decided it's time to stop lurking and come out of the dark.

-2012 UA9.
-WDP/Black
-Automatic (finding it in 6spd in white proved to be nearly impossible)

Funny enough, when the 4th gen came out, I thought it was so ugly lol. Then I worked at Acura North Toronto and saw and drove them almost daily and fell in love!!

Car was bought from a dealership out in Montreal. My friend sells used cars so he's the one who bought it and went to pick it up from out there. I bought it off of him. One of his first official sales.

Anyway, here's some pix. On his way back from Montreal with the car, he stopped for food and snapped these for me.

Absolutely love my car so far! Here's a couple shots of my UA9 with my 02 RSX

My username came from my licence plate on the RSX. I'll be getting similar custom plates for the TL in the future.

Here she is with my sister's Genesis coupe. She named her car Sega Jhene..

Took that on the night I got the car so my sister hadn't washed her car. We'll be sure to take more pix of our cars together this year.

My first mod was the tow hook front licence plate mount. Find it sticks out a lot though...

Got it cheap from Pacific Mall. Needed something at the time so it stayed that way for a bit. More on that later...
Made some Wallpapers and uploaded them to the HDD. Think it's pretty cool that we can do that!

I'm a born Canadian and my mom and dad were both raised in Trinidad. The flag is a combination of those 2 countries.

I'm a HUGE fan of anime so I made this wallpaper. The character in the middle is me, made by this dope artist in Japan.

Remember earlier when I said the licence plate stuck out a bit far? Well one night I was having a bit of fun on the highway with this 2018 Altima and....well....

Damage on my car wasn't too bad. Could've been a lot worse. Neither of us were hurt. My plate mount went right through his rear bumper. Left a hole in his bumper and my plate as well, and this was the damage to my car. After saying at the scene that I could pay out of pocket to fix his car, he changed his mind and decided to go through insurance. Luckily for me, it was my first at-fault accident and my insurance has accident forgiveness so premiums didn't increase. Cost me $450 to repair mine.

Good as new....almost.

I bought another tow-hook plate mount. This one from iJDMToy ($53.39CAD with shipping). When I went to install it initially, it wouldn't screw in past the first thread. Took it to my mechanic friend and was told the threads had been stripped from the accident. Good news is they can re-tap the hole to fix the thread. I'll probably be doing that next week.

So here's how she looks for now...

Planned mods:
-Tints for windows. Think I'm gonna go with Formula 1 Pinnacle 15. I've had 15% tint on all my other cars that I've tinted and I like that look so I'm gonna keep with it)
-Red tint for tail lights
-Rims and tires come spring time. Thinking either 20x9 or 20x10 squared, and somewhere around +35 offset. Not sure which rims yet, but I like the Niche Gamma. Similarly, I was thinking about going with red rims of that style and like the Axe ex30's. Haven't decided yet.
-Coils - debating between BC Racing coils and Tein SA (I'm leaning more towards Tein tbh)
I'll probably do most of that this year...hopefully...Beyond that, we'll see what happens and how I feel. Any suggestions are welcomed. Also, feel free to follow my car page on IG - @SocaBebi
I'm also the creator of the @4thGenTL page on IG so feel free to follow that as well!

Hey welcome!!!

I honestly think if I had got a white car I could not resist wrapping the roof in black... I love that look.

Thanks. I was just looking at your build thread yesterday lol. Love your car!

Thinking about wrapping the roof as well . Saw a white TLX a couple months ago with it done. Very nice. I'm undecided...

Got my tints done today! Formula One Pinnacle 15 ceramic plus the taillights redout. I love the look! Seen a few cars on here and the ig page that had it done and decided it was a must.

Good evening! Not too much to report today. Took her in for an oil change and to change front brake pads and rotors last night. The brakes were squeaking already. I know I drive a lot, but damn! Turns out they put on the cheap stuff to sell the car...

It's been barely 6 months and that's how the rotors look. Pads had no pad left.

New coated rotors. Someone took my back 2 wheel caps so I took the front 2 off to keep it all the same.

While I was in the shop, I finally got the tow hook hole retapped and installed my new Licence plate mount and plate.

Looks so much better than having the big ol hole in the front! Purchased from IJDMToy. Better fit too.

Now to spray her down to get rid of all this salt!!!

Looks like the were stuck on pretty bad, I am assuming those are hammer marks on the Rotor surface.

I was surprised how easily mine came off, I even purchased new retainer screws in the event they broke.

Looking forward to Spring so I can drive it a bit.

Made some new friends since i've updated here last...

Also, got some new shoes put on yesterday. They're Milanni Tycoons 20x10.5 et42 on Durun 255/35. Nice and smooth.

Before I changed my wheels, I was having vibration issues at all speeds. Figured it was my tires that were the problem and toughed it out until I changed them. Boy was I right. Below are the tires on my stock wheels...

Needless to say, I'm gonna need new tires come winter.
