SmokeTL's TL

I put on the splash guards today and took a few pics. Decided to share with the community. (photo skills aren't the best)

Vossen CV3s 20x9 et 35
Conti DWS 245/35/20
Solar gurard 30% tint
HID Fogs

I know the car will look better with a drop.....I will decide after this winter

A few wet pics. I like wet cars

GOOD GRIEF! It looks amazing! I especially like the 6th photo - the rear 3/4 looks incredible in this "wet" shot! Then in the last one, do you see how the BWP just stands out completely among the other cars!? Absolutely stunning! (and this is from someone who does not usually like white cars!!!)

Very nice wheels.

The car will definitely look even better with a drop.

I agree-- wheels are nice, but they will look 100x better with a drop

I am looking at wheels right now, same specs.. 20x9 +35... any rubbing issues yet?

How do you plan on dropping it? Also...FWD or AWD? I hate how you can't tell right away on the MMC 2012+ TL.

No Rubbing, wheels turn lock to lock no rubbing.

Dropping it...not sure how I am gonna do it. I want a small gap eliminating drop. I am not sold on just doing springs....not sure how that will hold up...its a daily driver. I don't think the small drop I want is worth the Tiens expense.

Its FWD, Tech. I am about to put the advance wheels on for the winter....maybe if my girl loves me she will get me the Teins

LOL... I've had Teins on both my 3Gs... expensive, and a little bouncy... but definitely a controllable ride height

I put H&Rs on both my 4Gs... they've really held up well... unfortunately, they dont make aftermarket shocks just yet, to counteract the extra spring load...

I think H&Rs makes a set for the FWD now... I had eibachs springs on my 07 TL-S and 04 TSX once, and i HATED them.

Very nice...I like....

Question: Are the splash guards easy to put on...I have had mine in the trunk for almost a year now.

Extremely easy. All you need is a Philips screwdriver.

I purchased a hand ajustable ratchet it looks like a sun dial. I was able to get in and screw/un screw with out taking off the back wheel. I did have to jack the back up to access the screw on the top of the splash guard. The dealer wanted $120 to install. I paid $11 and 30 mins of my time. Very easy.

Did you have the option of picking from lower offsets? Did you ever contemplate running the 10.5" rear?

I thought about it for 2 seconds. Then I realized it might look good but, I am gonna drive this everyday. So tire rotation was a consideration.

I don't remember the other offset choice I had for this wheel. I think it was in the 20's. Way to aggresive for 20x9. I wasn't willing to trade function for looks.

I can always adm
ire the hot rides on azine...lol. you guys are gonna make me go broke.

FYI if you are going with springs you are limited to Eibach, H-Tech, and Tein S-Tech. H&R has a modle number for the FWD but it is not available for sale yet. I called H&R and they said this part is still in R&D and not released yet. I was disapointed because these guys had sold on H&Rs. I have a set of H-Techs on order. I decided to go with H-tech because of they are less agressive than the other two options and Easy has them and gave a good review said the road like stock.

Thank you sir!

The only thing I may do is the rear window spoiler. I wanna see how it looks with out the skirts before I do it though. Gonna keep it simple.

Besides, I am gonna need money for my next baby...a Victory Hammer.

Went the same route with my wife's TL. Added the splash guards and a rear roof spoiler and I think it looks great. You have the rims so car looks just right imo. Anymore would be too much.
I also wouldn't drop it that much.

Nice wheels and your car look sweet...With all that space showing between the wheel a BBK kit will show nicely. Keep it up!

, Brembo can make one on request and Rotora has a complete BBK kit for the 4G front and rear. In fact you can have it customize to your liking such as 6 piston caliper for the front and 4 piston caliper rear with 15 inch rotors....I have a set on order which i'll post pics when i install it.

Nice looking wheels, was actually looking to get the same ones, but all 4 of the rears Any chance of some closeup pics of how much the wheels poke out compared to the fenders?

I checked the Rotora website. There is nothing available for the 4G TL. No BBK. Not even drilled and/or slotted rotors.

Please give me your link.

Rotora does have a BBK setup for 4G TL but there website is not updated with the new products. They have recently changed and upgraded there calipers. The part #'s for the BBK i had them make for me is RFK.311.01 for the front and RFK 312.01 for the rear. Call Steve @ Rotora (909)590-1712 ext. 106...for all the kits that's available or can be made for the 4G TL.

The 1st 2 pics are as close as I got. The wheels don't stick out at all. Also they aren't the 10.5's they are the 9's. I have seen the 10.5 all around on a accord.....looks ok...but i am not sure how functional it is in the front.

I took the rims off already for the winter.....a little qucker than I wanted to. I got a 2 inch scratch on the front left wheel.....If I can't get it repaired, I am buying a wheel.

That set up is gonna be crazy on your car!!!!!!
For me..not sure if it makes sense. During the winter I run the Advance 18's. I fit a finger between caliper and rim.
