Ron Jon Grill Install
I was recently was clipped by a bus [not my fault], so I had the opportunity to install the grill and have it covered by insurance. The bumper was slightly scratched but there was some internal damage. They stripped the car bare to fix it.
I bought the part when the CDN dollar was on par with US dollar and had it shipped to Canada so expect about $200 in duty. I just had the part just sitting in the office for a couple of months.
Looks
Makes the car look a bit more subdued and really changes the look of it.
Ideal
If you have an aero kit on the car and you don’t really swap the whole front end. It’s better to have a darker car to make the gap lines line up easier. I have heard that white cars are the hardest to color match as well.
Fitment
Because the car repair shop did all the work, it was easy. Needed to visit the once to confirm that I was ok with fitment. It’s not perfect but it’s something to consider if you can get a good deal on a 2009-2011 TL. I had done a lot of research before getting it.
Paint
Be prepared to repaint front lip, bumper, grill at the same time. I bought car used so there were a lot of stone chips on the front. I think if only the grill was painted, I would go crazy looking at the other imperfections due to wear & tear.
Before (knocked off license plate holder)
Front End (dismantled)
After
I had posted earlier about a tow hook plate holder and I am glad I didn't do it especially because it would distract from the RJ grill. Rondy was pretty fast in responding too.

Looks super nice.
But I thought RonJon has long been stopped making this grille.

My brother-in-law recently helped me re-paint the A Bar of the Ron Jon grill due to the winter wear & tear. It looks great in black and makes the front look "like" the diamond pentagram grill of the TLX.
