Post pictures of your tinted TL

the night of posting picture i was pulled over for "no plates" but i told the chp the car is only a few days old evidenced by the dealership slip on the windshield. then he asked me to roll up my window a couple inches and booked me for the tint.. it hasn't even been the 3-4 days drying off period post tint application and already hit with a fixit ticket.. luckily i have a friend's husband who is a cop and can write it off..

Anyone know of any high end reputable tint shops. Price isnt really the issue, I just want the top job done. I live in Westchester in New York but willing to travel to Queens, NYC, Long Island, etc..
Would like a place with some options and a lifetime warranty.
Also, how does constant use of the rear defrost affect the tint? thanks.

Canada, I have the GLM, Tech AWD and I use your pics as my screen saver! Your 45% goes great with the color of the car, however I think I might go a little bit darker. Great ride homie.

I had 35% on my previous car and was just finding it harder with night driving - but it would look sportier with tint darker than 45%...

I was wondering if TL owners would be interested in posting pictures of their tinted car and specify what percentage and type of tint they used and why,it might be helpful to other owners considering whether to have their car done or not,i will start by posting mine,i used Formula 1 Pinnacle 30 ceramic tint because it is not a dyed film so it is guaranteed not to fade,it has superior heat reduction, amazing clarity at night and does not interfere with the electronics,i am sure that there are other tints just as good or even better so lets hear from others

Wow! I thought my car was dark at 18% but compared to your car mine doesn't look so dark anymore. lol. I actually like it though. Looks stealth. I'd stick with it if you can get away with it.

Hey Chilinout. I was going to have my tail lights tinted but when the way our tail light is it really reflects a lot of light. When they put the film on it barely looked tinted and more of a light smoke. So I decided to use plasti dip instead to get a darker effect. Here's a pic.

Have you considered Chrome rear signal bulbs? They will eliminate the "yellow" spot in your lens (egg yolk look) and give it a full clear lens look.

Cruisin'
2014 TL SH-AWD A-Spec Tinted to 20%
Tinted by the dealership 20% all the way around. In Ontario Canada the legal limit is 25% I believe. The dealership made me sign off to go darker.

i believe tint law is "discretionary" in Ontario - ie, no specific value is listed in the HTA
I've heard the rule of thumb is if a cop can't tell the gender of a driver, it's too dark. I have 15% and haven't had any issues.
