Pot, thanks for posting those pictures and video. Never realize reps are that crappy. I have my kid riding with me sometime...I rather not have the car collapse on the highway.

Hey, since we're talking about wheels breaking and what not. Are 5zigen good rims? And will they break on me?

OP, You don't want them to break on you PERIOD. If you smack the curb in the Supermarket parking lot, no big deal. If you misjudge your line and smack the curb going 50mph around a corner (and even the best drivers make mistakes), you could DIE.
Get out the Visa and buy another set so you can send these back for a refund.

go to your uncle and tell him you want your money back for shit that can potentially kill you.

i know times are hard, and people wanna save money.. but dont go the cheap route that can potentially in danger you and your passengers..

ive seen wheels crack, but nothing like fake rims.. they completely come off the car.. lol

Man I was driving around 80 mph on the janky 10 West in the car pool. I drove over a fooking pothole the size of an island. My front end went BADOWWWWW or was it BADANGGGGG!...my mouth went FOOOOOOOOOOK MEEEEEEE!. I drove a couple miles saying to my passenger...Im FOOKED! I pulled over and felt around and no bends, cracks or bubbles on my wheels / tires what so ever....THANK YOU VOLKS! If I had some reps...im sure I would have been calling AAA or maybe an ambulance!

now if i had a honda civic...REPLICAS ALL DAY!

I hate hitting pot holes. I usually memorize where all the pot holes are as I drive on the same roads most the time. But when I get caught by one the same words come out my mouth

exactly my point im trying to make..

if i had a civic, id rock reps all day just because... well its a civic lol..

but putting cheap replica rims on your 40k car which weights in about 4500lbs is not a good idea..

glad that your volks held up really well.... btw 10fwy is really bad, infact the worse freeway ever in socal..

People really underestimate the stress a 3500 pound car puts on your wheels... A one ton girder is a modest amount of stress that can be put on a wheel during cornering. Your car may take a corner effortlessly but there is a lot of pressure being put on the wheel. Enough to cause it to develop cracks.
Wheels are things we put on our cars and don't look at it for the next year or so until something feels weird... Trust me when I say if you keep your eyes peeled you can get a good set of used wheels that won't kill you...
If you want to be hasty and drive on shit wheels I can guarantee your insurance is not going to be paying you anything to fix that mess up...

^^thanks for bringing a half a year old thread back to life.. but yea.. points are there..

its like someone trying to rock replica te-37 on a nsx.. somethings you just dont do when the car is priced moderately.. especially when rims and tires are the only things keeping your car to the ground and in motion.. once one of those fail.. you fail
