Hey guys

Just got a 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD base (don't judge, couldn't find a tech model in good condition). Palladium metal exterior w/ black interior.

It had 75,000km's on it and I got it for 16.5k CAD. So far no issues with the T/C.

Plans coming up for the summer:
- Niche M131 19x9.5 et35 wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza RE970AS 255/40/19.
- H&R springs
- Bridgestone Blizzaks WS80's on stock 18's
- Morimoto HIDs 3000k
- Switchbacks for turn signals
- Back up camera w/ external screen

Will eventually get:
- J pipe + catback exhaust (leaning towards EndlessRPM).


So far thats it! Looking forward to do most of the small maintenance on this car myself.

Got some goodies today! Got my Niche Targas M131 20x8.5 et 35. Got a good deal on 255/35/20 on Pirelli P Zero.

Some local guy was selling his XLR8 cat back, XLR8 j pipe, and XLR8 test pipe. Got it for $700 and he threw in H&R springs for free! Awesome deal.

Ordered a VRS window spoiler as well. Excited to put everything on soon

Nice pick ups! That's a steal for exhaust, jpipe, test pipe and springs. There's a guy local to me selling his XLR8 catback for $800.

I was surprised when everything came at once haha. Have to take into account that I'm in Canada so I'm glad I didn't have to buy a new exhaust in the states.

Wheels mounted and balanced. Should be installing them soon but the car will sit high as I'm not getting it lowered until next week.
Also cleaned and polished up the exhaust muffler and tips today!

Just checked my oil level (5000km since the last one), so far no issues with oil consumption either! And I like to hit VTEC often :P.

are you from edmonton? How did you get the car for 16.5? Seems a little cheap unless it has 200 000km+

Yeah from Edmonton. Seller didn't know what he was selling. Dealership offered him 15k for the car and he put it up for 18 looking to make money. Got lucky!

Pull the full XLR8 exhaust on. Man what a difference. Loving every minute of it. I'm thinking to debadge everything from the rear except the big Acura logo... We'll see

Mine didn't come with the "Acura" emblem but I did remove the "TL" emblem. Had to leave the SH-AWD. Can't have it looking like a FWD lol. Just a personal preference.

Good point. Big feature in the 4G's is the SH-AWD haha. Ill think about keeping that on

Did some pulls in the tunnel with my friend last night. Evo X, mid 300hp, stage II with MXP exhaust. Covered the car speed on the first video as I posted it on social media :P

Definitely. I'm looking to do a 12+ conversion first then I'll probably plan on getting the lip kit on that. Not liking how the lip kit looks on the 09

I got H&R springs, so those will be going on the stock struts. When those go, I plan on getting Tein SA.

Next mod: Oem lip kit.

Installed switchbacks, nokya fog light bulbs, and got a chance to detail the exterior of the car.
Decontaminated with claybar, iron X and tar X. Full 3 stage polish using Menzerna products. Sealed with CG Jetseal with Menzerna wax. Took around 9 hours total.
She's getting lowered tomorrow !!

Car is lowered on H&R springs. Less body roll in the car, but other then that, feels like stock!

Alrighty, forgot about updating this thread hahah

I think I'll be putting the stock 3rd cat back in the see if that reduces drone a little.

I'll be using fake dynamat and wall insulation acoustic insulator to keep road noise to a minimum.

• The doors and trunk were basically hollow inside, so I stuffed them with insulation and put sound deadening sheets over some areas
• Still trying to figure out how to remove the rear speaker deck so I can put some stuff on there as well
• The trunk floor and rear seat floor will be lined with 2 layers of sound deadening sheets

I plan on replacing the resonators with vibrant ultra quiet ones to reduce the drone. I've heard it will make a difference.
