My 2012 SH-AWD Advance

Con, your car is absolutely amazing looking! Nice!
Do you have any problems with your Viper Remote Start? I've been wanting to get one installed for my 2012 TL as well, but have been reading up on a lot of issues with it (mostly related to the engine having to shut off while driving when you open your door).

Quick question, I'm from your area and am thinking about doing the coil-overs & dropping the car a bit. How was the 2 inch drop on these Chicago / Illinois roads? Were you bottoming out at all, or was it fine? Had to drive extra carefully?

the new 5 series is fugly. sorry. it looks like a fish from the front... i'm sure it drives great... but i don't 'care for it.. but maybe it will grow on people... when the 5 series change last time i hated it.. now like it... but first impression.. YUK.
i would have rather bought a used CPO M5... with 505 hp... then DINAN that!! the V10 with exhaust is auralgasm....

It was fine. No problems at all. I had the EDFC so being able to adjusting that was great depending on what kind of feel you wanted. And if you go coilovers its a simple adjustment to go up or down in height. No issues for me with this setup.
No issues when I had mine but yes when you opened the door the car would shut of. Wasn't a big deal and just start it up and take off. I liked mine actually. No complaints. Would have been nice for that issue to be bypassed but it wasn't a big deal for me. Warmed up the car just fine.
I had mine sprayed with paint. Just a light coat. You can also do a 3M tint. Depending how dark you want to go its up to you.
I loved my TL, especially after the mods. Drove great felt nibble and was an all around joy to drive. The F10 is just entirely a different animal. Solid, Torque that burries you in your seat, interior and exterior quality of materials just doesn't compare but neither to the price tags of each vehicle so there better be a significant difference. The motor in the F10 is smooth with no lag and just feels awesome. Depending on how you build it and which option you select it will play a factor in how the car drives and handles so def choose all the transmition and suspension upgrades. Now if you throw some coilovers on and cat back exhaust with an ECU flash with some 295 rear tires forget about it. So depending which model and how you spec it out there will be considerable differences in how the car feels. So I feel if you stay on the lower end of the F10 models and configurations I would stick with the TLSHAWD with a few mods that car is the bang for the buck and has a little bit of everything. If you option out an F10 and go for the big motor there is no comparing the 2 cars its just to big of a gap in all aspects to even begin.
Hey Con, congrats on the new bimmer, looks beautiful!

hey I just got this car with the same underbody spoiler. Not those rims tho...could not afford them... However I do want to change all my lights. I would like to change my fog lights, day time running lamps, blinkers, even mirror signals if possible, license plate lights, and reverse lights. I would like to paint my front bumper like you did as well...how much did that cost and where did you bring it.
Do you know the bulbs I would need to buy? like the 9005 or whatever
any help will be appreciated

Thanks man...I'm going to be getting some really cool pictures back this week I had taken of it. Ill post some. Yes the car is lowered...the wheels are Vorsteiner VS-310 triple piece with a Brushed Shadow Gloss finish. They are pretty sick. Ill post better pics of them when I get them this week.
