How long have you installed your new springs? It might go a bit lower.

I have only driven about 20 miles since I put them on. I really like where it sits now so I hope it doesn't go much lower if any.

Looks sweet!!! i had my springs installed about 3 months ago and they haven't dropped by much since the initial install.

Curious as to which springs you used.

They are the Tein HTech springs. Only $229 from Excelerate Performance. I think for the money it is a pretty good mod.

Hey, Sgt. Your car looks great!

I was considering a similar setup. Did you end up replacing your shocks when you installed the H-Techs? Also, have you noticed any rubbing issues or anything else since the install?

I only have about 10k miles on my TL so I didn't replace the struts. There's been no rubbing or issues of any kind. I did have it alligned and the shop said the back was fine and the front was only off a little.

Thanks. I forgot to ask... How's the ride compared to the stock springs? Softer, harder, about the same?

I am also interested in this question as well because I don't think I am ready to shell out $800+ to get some Coilovers. This drop looks sufficient enough to be honest. It has just the look I'd be going for too. Too bad I have almost 60,000 miles on my OEM shocks because now I have to make the tough call to replace them if I'd get the springs or not.

Looks really good man. I'm just really hesitant because I don't know if it will rub when I have people in the car.

I envy the look but I promised myself...but more importantly my wife that I wouldn't install any lowering kit on my TL.

Looks great keep us updated how the shocks hold up, I ran H-tech springs on my 2005 TSX oem shocks for a long while without issue.

When my wife makes me promise I won't do anymore mods, I cross my fingers ........ I wish Acura would design a vehicle with less gap between the fender line and the tire like the C class but I think that's too mush to ask. Hopefully they will come strong with new redesign 5 gen TL

Very nice, conservative drop. Maybe they'll settle a little bit more.

How many inches was the drop do you think? And I would also like to know how the ride is. I may save up for coilovers...

I have a 2010 sh w/ 60k on it and I'm about to install tein s tech springs for a 1.5 in drop. I'll keep you posted on ride as I am also on OEM struts.

I imagine you'd save a substantial amount of money if you removed the springs yourself and brought them into a shop and told them just to install the springs onto the shocks.

If I ever get the wife to agree to letting me do this, that is what I would do because I need to pinch every penny of the build with her.

I was super hesitant because I didn't want to hurt the ride, but honestly I can't tell the difference in the ride from the oem springs. The drop has settled a little and I would say I wouldn't want to go any lower myself. They were super easy to install but if I had over 50k miles on my car I would go ahead and replace the struts.

Thanks guys. I was really concerned when I decided to do this but I have no regrets and couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

That's a good question. I would think they would have to have some indication that whatever problem you are having is from the vehicle being lowered. Worst cae scenerio I put my stock springs back on and then they will probably fix the problem.

I will have to agree with you regarding the warranty.

Bear with me. Kindly link me to a DIY thread for lowering spring install.I lowered my 8th gen civic coupe before but would love to do as much research as I can for my 4g TL.
Thanks alot and all the best.

Nice drop, its conservative yet gives it an aggressive stance. Something I would do myself. Those wheels look great too.
