No, it's the turn signal bulb. No more amber blob.

Actually, it's pretty simple and probably better explained and illustrated in the manual on page 562.

I am not saying your mod bad at all it's just that I thought turn signals were supposed to be either red or yellow.

I agree, and therein lies the trick, they are silver while off but they flash amber!

No chit?? Now you are REALLY on to something (as if you didn't know). Where did you find the bulbs, if you don't mind me asking?

Got them from www.stealthbulbs.com (used coupon code "chrome10" for a discounted price). Got a set for the front and the rears. I originally ordered a set from xenonmods but never received them and never got any response back from them for any assistance.

I think you guys should consider doing this mod to the front lower turn signals (or whatever the lights are above the fog lights). Those have an egg-yolk effect to them also.

How hard is it to change the front bulbs? I am thinking I can do that from under the front?

You can change them from under the front bumper, which is how I did it. The reach up might be a little tricky depending on how big your hands are. The space is kinda confining. IIRC, you will have to remove 6 bolts and 4 push clips. Patience is your friend.

Not to worry. It's about a 10-15 minute job per side. Not really difficult just tricky.
