Awesomely done! I'm jealous of your mechanical ability. I am terrified that I would botch something up and cost myself more money in the long run.
Your thread is definitely one that I have bookmarked.

Thank you, the headlights have certainly become a hot item.
Have had many questions asked by people that have seen them on the car. Reminded me of when I did the illuminated Door Sills.
I agree .
Thank you for an awesome compliment. However, it's more luck than mechanical ability .

KK, is your front plate flat? or did you have to bend it to fit the holder?
I have to bend mine, but i think i've seen a 09-11 with flat front plates on the OEM holder (or i think it's the OEM).

The Lexus that rear ended me was badly damaged, he was going approximately 80 km/h.

Not getting rid of the TL, too much money and time went in to it for someone else to enjoy.

Burning Brakes
Hey, you are a talented guy Karkraze. Amazing. I had a stock 2010 4G TL and I loved driving it. Right now I have a 135i ( a 1er, as we say). My interest at this time is just theoretical; I'm learning about the topic of BBK. My questions: When you buy a BBK kit to replace standard setup, do the calipers generally just bolt onto the existing stock brackets. Or do you get adapter brackets as part of the kit? assuming the new calipers install easily, does the new hardware have any effect on brake pedal/master cylinder feel or performance? Do you have to mess around with anything besides the new rotors, calipers, and pads? Thanks for any info/advice. ( I am not far away!) Jim

With regards to the BBK ...It's my understanding that some Kits are made specifically for the Application and as such does not require any additional Hardware or modifications for mounting.
Braking bias is also taken in to consideration. In situations where someone is trying to retrofit a Kit that was not specifically built for the application then you may require a Custom made Mounting Bracket or Adaptor.
What I can say about the Rotora BBK that I installed is that Brake Fade is significantly reduced over Stock and it is a direct bolt on with no modifications. Case in point, when I was Tuning the Car the Stock Brakes would be practically useless after three WOT 3 rd gear Pulls from 0 to xx and back to zero .The Rotora seems to have endless Grip and Pedal feel is not mushy /spongy. My greatest concern is not the Car in Front of me but the one Behind.
I did it mostly for aesthetics (probably not the wisest way to spend money ) , I do not Track the Car. However, if the Car will see Track Days then it would probably be a worthwhile investment.
Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions.

I sprayed both to get a good color match, the Clear Lens needed more Coats to match up.
Should mention that they have held up incredibly well and looks no different from the Day I did it.

Haven’t logged in for over a year 🙂. I am alive and well. Hope some of the OG's are still here and doing well.
Most recent update was to rework the Audio System and use an Old School Amp .... PPI A600, anyone in the know will know that these things are ground pounders .
Great setup since you still retain most of the Trunk space.

It doesn’t cost much to keep it and there is really no point in letting it go either.
Currently at 28k miles. Will be keeping it for a really long time at this rate 😂.

So here is the beginning of a little project that I wanted to do for a while, managed to get my hands on a left side taillight and want to cut it open. I would like to black out the silver trim, tint the clear indicator red and leave a small clear for the reverse lights.
I am well aware that I can just do the vinyl tint that everyone else does or I can contact JNC and purchase a set of lights done the way I wanted it, that however would be no fun.
Couple of things you will need for this part of the project
1) Safety Glass or face shield
2) Long sleeve shirt
3) Dremmel tool and some cutting tips
4) Masking tape
5) Taillight
6) Patience and steady hands.

Hey KK, how did you get your Dremel tool into that thick inner area (I marked it in red and with an arrow) I've gotten all the way around except this area. Thanks in advance for any tips or instructions you can pass along.
