"CarbonTSex" BBK kit / car looks awesome. Additional benefits aside, the BBK is a winner in the appearance aspect. Folks State side have a huge advantage over us to the North, after we factor in exchange rate / shipping / taxes and duties, it is possible that the cost is plus 35% at a minimum.

I was in no rush to finish this job and wanted to spend a day in the garage after a long Winter. Felt good to tinker with the car again.

I spent 7 hour in total for the complete install , including two trips to the local store for some supplies and a complete system flush.

Did you ever check to see if your spare tire clears the bbk (especially the front) just in case you go down?

I love how the 15" Rotors fill up the Rims, everything looks well matched plus no Spacer was required.
The Wheel design accommodates the BBK perfectly, and I really did not want to go with 20's. Personal preference, I feel the 19's is a perfect balance between weight, handling, performance and ride comfort.

Very thoughtful of you to mention this, much appreciated .
The thought did cross my mind and my intentions were to do a switch, if the Front went down, I would swap a Rear with it and use the spare on the Rear. There is no way the Spare will fit the Front.

Thank you, I purchased the TL new, it has ultra low mileage at present and the intention is to keep it for a very long time since it is more of a toy than a daily driver. Grown ups need to have fun too .

On a separate note, SPC rear three piece camber kit and four new Pilot Super Sport installed.
Big shout out to Pat at Altech Automotive who spent close to an hour dialing the alignment, great guy who treats his customers and cars with respect.

Looks great.

Roughly where is Altech Automotive located, I can not get anyone to get my 3 piece SPC aligned correctly. I am getting new tires every other year. Love to look of my dropped TL but it is getting pricey.

Thank you.
They are located at 384 Olivewood Rd. in Etobicoke. That is Kipling Rd and Norseman Rd area, you will have to make an appointment to do the 3 pc kit. These guys are very good and you can tell him if you need custom specs. Ask for Pat and if he can work on personally on your car. He took his time and ensured that everything was perfect before I left.

I hear you on the tire bit, replacing the Pilot SS were not cheap but my camber was at -3.7 degrees and that wiped out the tires really fast, I currently have it at -0.9 and love how the wheels sit now.

In addition to the performance benefits, aesthetically they look wicked. I had a chance to buy a set of used Rotora BBK but I think it needed new discs and pads. The price was solid but to replace them were not lol. Just wasn't worth it. I'm waiting on fastbrakes to test and release a kit for the 4G soon; possibly this fall. The seller never sent me up close pics I requested so that was a red flag for me.

KK's modded WDP Sh Awd with Rotora BBK-rxvnddu.jpg

Thank you to forum member "Heart TLs" whose assistance was instrumental in me acquiring a set of headlights for an upcoming mod.

Strongly considered doing the Jewel Eyes retrofit because it is an awesome mod and looks amazing. Decided against it since it is no longer unique, not to mention I now see quite a few 3G in my neighborhood with it. The challenge now is to do something different.

As usual, I will be fabricating some Custom parts to do this project and to keep it unique. Will be a while before it is complete, hopefully it will turn out okay otherwise it will be an expensive boo boo.

KK's modded WDP Sh Awd with Rotora BBK-qmz2khb.jpg

I will be doing a Dual Projector set up per light, each Projector will have a White Demon Eye that will function as the DRL and the high beam will be fully functional. Dual TSX R clear Lens with Laser Etched pattern will be used.

The pic above is a Custom Lens retainer that will go along with a custom fabricated projector housing. I will be making my own since there is limited room in the Headlight to use the ones available on the market.

Assuming these work out and everything, do you have any plans for your current headlights? For example keeping them or selling them to me?

Thanks for the encouragement, any pictures taken will be shared.
As with all the one of mods I have done, I generally invest a lot of time in the thought process, I suppose that is why things turn out well , none have failed to date. Going for more of a stealth look, there is room to do more than I am doing eg. LED strips / switchback etc. but will avoid that for now.

I haven't made up my mind on what to do. I am leaning towards keeping both pairs. Having purchased parts from US, I am sure you can attest to how costly it is for us in the North.
Luckily, Carlos is a good friend who at my request helped me out in securing the pair to mod from a US seller, landed here they were $525 USD, used Originals. New aftermarket was costing $450 CAN a piece.
Will definitely keep you in mind though.

Sooooo costly for us northerners. The exchange rate and then boarder fees is like a one-two punch to the wallet! Deep pockets are a must.

But it sounds like you got a decent deal, its funny how even used headlights are like at least 700CAD.

If you ever do decide to sell ill be here

The first issue I ran into was there was not enough space to mount the LED on the Low Beam Projector. I flattened the flange on the Cutoff Shield and Brake Formed it to create more space between the Lens Retainer and the Projector housing. The Demon eye LED will be mounted on top of the Projector Bowl to minimize hot spot.

It now mounts perfectly. All the TSX R Laser Etched Lens / Demon Eyes and LED's were ordered from The Retrofit Source. Had to order twice since I wanted to experiment with one set before committing to purchase everything. This Mod is a go and I am positive all will work out well.

Started the process of machining the Custom Projector, had to source some T6061 Aluminum Solid for it.

Some more progress on the experimental headlight which will be used to perfect the pair going on the car. The Custom Projector for the high beam area is complete, some pics to give an idea of how this project is coming along.

Well, this has not been an easy project . I ran into several issues including wrong shipment of parts, returns, and extra costs.

I can say that a prototype is ready and I just need to tune the Lens and reseal, this will happen sometime over the next several weeks / months due to a heavy work load. These are a few pics of the prototype, the next set of pics should be with the final set installed on the car.

I am quite happy with how it turned out, somewhat different from others and unique in it's own way, pretty much on point with what I wanted to achieve.

Much appreciated and thank you.
I have been extraordinarily busy and have not had time to complete the Headlight retrofit. I am still excited over the project and to see how they will look on the car.

I could have easily added LED Strips etc to them but decided against it since it appears too played out, just about every car seems to have it in one form or another, clean and simple it is.

Fabrication on both headlights is now complete, started the install and the switch is on Order so the project should be complete over the next few days.

Driver side installed and passenger side is stock for comparison.

Everything is finally installed. Having done several unique and one of mods this was a good challenge for me but the results were well worth it. I have lost count of how many hours went in to this project both in thinking about the best way to fabricate it and to actually make it.

I would like to thank the following Forum members "Heart Tls" for his assistance in getting a pair of stock headlights and "Arpypat" for the info he posted on the Forum about wiring Fog Lights independently. It had the part numbers of the Accord Switch / Harness and wiring info that I used, it was certainly helpful and resulted in a complete factory appearance on the dashboard.

Accord Switch installed in the blank slot on the dash.
