I just logged on to check out your car. I haven't seen it in ages and it still looks beautiful. I'm out of the Acura game but nice to see you're still active!

Been such a long time!! Feels like a revival Lol. Thanks to all who have left comments or visited my thread.
A quick peek at a section of a little project I am working on,one of front extension to OEM front lip.
Long way to go yet, plastic welding for joints, heating to shape, filling and sanding. Will wrap in carbon fiber to match all the other lip extensions I have on the car.

Front lip flows nicely with the splitters. The carbon is very subtle yet sporty.

Oh Jeez KK, that looks fantastic. Matches very well with the side splitters.
Seen a few attempts / variations of this mod including the one from Aeroflow Dynamic but yours look well integrated with the car and the original A Spec lip.

Much appreciated and thank you for the positive comments.
"Jtech316" , I have designed and fabricated most of the custom work on this car myself. It is satisfying to see my efforts come to fruition and quite possibly the best part of any project.
Those pics were from a test fit, fitment is on point and I will post some more pics from the front later.

Damn man. That's awesome. I have ideas but I don't have that much patience to follow through with it. Was going to fiberglass a sub box but got lazy at the very last minute and built a simple box instead. Lol
Much appreciated and thank you for the positive comments.

Thanks bud, it's been a while huh. Planning any meets for the Summer??
Patience is the key haha. I made a sub box as well for a single 10" sub,my days for building ground pounding systems are long gone .
Just finished reinforcing the back of the lip, will re wrap this weekend and it should be golden.

Oh no , nothing like that. It is from polyurethane. A friend of mine recently acquired a unit that was used to recycle auto parts, I went to assist him with the move and looked through some of the remaining stock, I found two different Lips that I felt i could work with. Not sure which vehicle they came off.
Basically, it was cut in four pieces and joined with plastic welding to form a complete unit. I also had to splice and heat it to conform to the radius of the original A Spec Lip. Everything was then filled and sanded. The back of all joints are reinforced with perforated metal so that it is structurally sound.
The lip is completely independent of the original lip but is mated seamlessly and it can be removed without any damage to either part with the exception of the mounting holes which are at the bottom and out of sight. I made up some custom brackets of various height for mounting it, you will notice that I have slots in the bracket to provide adjustments so that the two lips can be held as close together as possible. I will attach a picture of the profile of the lip as well as the brackets.

Curious to know how it would look painted.
It does compliment the side splitters as well as the rears.

BTW, did you ever get around to installing the Spacers on the cross member ? Did it alleviate the issue?

I did try it with a Pearl White wrap at first. Liked it but prefer the contrast of the black carbon. As you mentioned, it goes well with the rest of the Splitters around the car.

Ah okay. I've been scoping out ebay for universal lips to Frankenstein up too but haven't really seen anything that will line up properly with the front. I finally went through your entire thread and saw you made your side and back splitters too..it's very subtle and nice(those led side sills are legit too!). Might tackle something like that next once I finish my dash project.

Thank you. I have thought about doing the TLX transplant to the headlights, positive I can fabricate the housing easily enough. However ,having heard that the frame of the car needs to be cut has changed my mind about that mod. Maybe, at a later date I might look in to it for myself and see if it can be done without touching the car frame.

Love what you have done to your TL! Not a thing on it that I don't like. Your custom grill... Right now I'm attempting to create the same look. Any pointers on how you mounted the shield or anything you would change after having it on there for a few years?

I was looking at post 818, wow, I'm impressed with what you did to the grill. To me, you completely fixed it.
As far as your question, with regards to calipers, I think the black ones look pretty good. But, with the color of your car, I surely would not go red. But, do I plan on putting them on my car? No, I don't want them on mine.
Anyway, I'm impressed with what you've done with this car!
