Nice. What do you use on your engine compartment covers to achieve that nice, clean matte finish?

Thanks.

I just wash them with the car. Pop em out, wash, rinse dry and let air dry. All the shiny chemical spray stuff just makes them dirt magnets.

Better view of the plug guide. I hate how the oxidized plastic looks after a couple years, and this should take care of that chalky plastic problem.

And if you put it on your tires, every dog in the neighborhood will follow you home. #LOL

I hadn't seen that one before, have you tried it?

i have tried it, and it does work. it stays like that for about a month.. pretty much like any other product you can by.. nothing is a permanent fix..

I use that mother's back to black to touch things up sometimes - but yeah - longevity....not so much.

It's a nice touch. Nothing like that factory fit.

I prefer the more naked engine on the TL and think all the splash guards are good for is rattling anyway. I imagine they're out the window once the supercharger kit goes on.

Looks good pseudo! I need to do something about my rusty rotors too. I figure I'll take care of that whenever I get around to painting my calipers (black).

When you paint your calipers, are you thinking of a decal? I'm going to get my calipers painted black to cover the rust on them, but I'm thinking of also adding just the written "Acura" decal (not the Acura logo) on them in either white or dark silver... The 2013 RDX has the caliper covers in black with "Acura" written on them and it looks a whole lot better than the rusted calipers on my 2012 TL....

Thoughts?

I just shot mine with that same anthracite paint and I think they look really good. Present, clean, but not popping out and distracting.

No, I just plan to paint them black. I feel it would look cleaner and really the decals would be a bit out of place since I'm debadged.

Sorry pseudo, don't mean to hijack your thread.

unless it says brembo, stoptech, or rotora.. i wouldnt put any decal logo on the calipers.. makes the car look cheap imho.

dont need to tell everyone you have an acura by having all 4 calipers with logo's on they already know with the large acura logo in the front and back.
