Got my new rims--YAY!
Here are my pics of the rims
. They are the Roderick RW2. There were some issues on the order and they sent me the wrong offset! I had to roll my fender unfortunately. Thinking about a drop but not in NYC. Road conditions here are terrible.

After rolled the fenders, do you still have any rubbing issue when there are passengers sitting in the back of the car ?

They are 19in and the offset is a question. The offset was not written on the wheels. I'd asked for 35 offset but as you can see, they cannot be that. The professional told me it may be somewhere near 20mm.
Nope, there is no rubbing at all. I had three people riding on the back and no rubbing. Thank goodness!

They look really nice. According to Roderick's website they only make the RW-2 in a 5-112 bolt pattern. Did you have them custom drilled?

Thanks bro, funny you noticed about the caps. I had to custom make those lol. Hub caps for acura is at 2.75 and the rodericks were at 3." I had to cut out the back and fit the acura cap right on it.
I think they do have the 120 x 5 pattern but many of the vendors can custom drill for ya. I should have been patient and ordered from the website below,
http://www.emswheels.com/product-p/rodrw2.htm ,
but i was in a rush and found some other guy who messed up the offset. Over all, because of the mistake, guess i got a more aggressive look.
Nevertheless, ems guy offered to drill for $80 and he was very helpful. Total cost of the rims with drill would have been $1180. Free shipping as well. check them out at the above address.

Did your rims stick out past the fender? the reason i am asking is because i have 35mm offset on my car and they are almost flush with the outside edge of the fender,i have'nt rolled my fenders but i also have'nt had any additional weight in the rear yet,so now i am curious .
Good idea with the center caps, but the Roderick's have some really nice caps as well.

Seriously, I was hoping that it wasn't going to rub, but it was quite bad. I was quite pissed off at the vendor. It was rubbing at all 4 sides.
As for the wheels, it came out of the fender by .6 inches or more. If it were 35mm offset, it would have been perfect, but like i said, it was probably somewhere near 20mm offset.

You should be just right with 35mm offset...this was the offset id asked the vendor to send, but the offset was setup somewhere near 20mm. I will advise against this vendor and I will expose the name after my current dispute against him. The problem is that the wheels came out about .6 beyond the outer fender. NYC and NJ highways sometimes have small dips which was enough to compress the shocks enough to rub. LOL, I only had my 40 pound son in the back too.
The Roderick caps didn't really match the car. Made the car look cheap and ghetto...

Yeah, based on what you told me i did some calculations and i am almost positive you got a 25 mm offset,i would be pissed if that happened to me and would most definitely not do business with a vendor like that again, problem though is that they are all nice on the phone until they get your business that is.

Well, I hope American express does me well...refund! Nevertheless, at this point I gotta live with them. Other than the fender rolling, I am happy with them. I just read your progress on your TL, its coming nicely. I am really interested on how you did your own tints. It must have been really hard to do without creating bubbles.
My next project is to paint my calipers red. What ya think?

The tints are not difficult,it requires some patience, this was my first attempt so it took about 45 mins a side.
Lay the tint on the light to get a rough template, cut it oversize,do not remove any of the plastic backing.
Clean the lens with rubbing alcohol.
Get a clean spray bottle, fill with water and a couple drops of baby shampoo to make a slight soapy mixture.
Spray the lens completely, remove the thin plastic backing on the tint making sure that you reveal the sticky side (one side is not sticky and one is) spray a mist on it and then position over the lens.
You will need a heat gun and a plastic applicator (american express lol) starting from the middle and working carefully slide the applicator over the tint and using the heat gun to remove the air bubbles.Use sweeping motions with the heat gun being mindful not to leave it on one spot too long.
When all of the air bubbles are gone trim off the excess tint that is on the car using a sharp exacto blade, careful with the paint, insert the blade in the space between the body and the lens.
Slowly remove the outer layer of protective plastic on the tint, you can wait a day if you wish to do this ( i did'nt) just to ensure that the tint is well bonded to the lens
Enjoy.I think i covered everything,if you have any question let me know,if you see some tiny bubbles they will clear up after a day or so in the outside heat.
If you don't like it, remove by peeling off and you are back to stock.
With regards to the calipers,i think it looks good depending on the colour you use and the colour of the car,i think that red will stand out too much on your car and detract from the rims, just my opinion though,be mindful that caliper spray paint will usually peel of after a while, proper preperation is a must. The best is to have them powdercoated but will require you to strip them and the loss of use of your car

Wow, thanks for the info. Definitely, I am going to try to apply the tints. They look really nice on your car. I think you are right with the red calipers, but if I end up painting them red, ill post the pics (nasty or not). It seems no one has done it yet on their 4g TLs. If it sucks, I'll just paint them silver...

Exactly, this was my reaction when they rubbed. Right after the tires were mounted, I instantly knew that the vendor messed up my order. They are 19" and about .6 pass the fender and it was enough to rub. Eh, what ya gonna do...

Yeah, it seems crazy you were rubbin with that much height but if you say you were then you were. Seems like from the pics u had plenty of room. Maybe take a couple pics from the side so we can see the fender in relation to the tires/wheels.
