No need to paint anything chrome. Just buy the midnight chrome grille to get that look. Looks great and will probably last much better/look much better than any sort of paint.

Since there aren't any pictures directly in the thread and it seems very in-active in here I figured I'd add some pictures. I've had the car about a month now and the only external accessories are the midnight chrome sport grill and rear trim.

I took these pictures about 2 weeks after I bought the car and had washed and waxed it, which was really my first time hand washing and waxing a car and going all out. Took about 4 or 5 hours total. (Did Ice Car Wash, Ice Liquid Clay Bar, Black Magic Liquid Wax) The Black Magic was the problem... that stuff takes forever to buff out, and yes, I used small amounts, I ended up pretty much having to go over the car with Black Magic Spray Detailer to really even buff it out. Don't know if that is an issue or not, but seemed to work well. Now I've got bugs and splatter everywhere on my car after 2 weeks and might go through a touchless wash (always used for my 3G, never any problems but of course you'd always have spots where the water dries if it doesn't get all the way dried right away), and then after the auto wash I will probably spray detail it for the spots.

BTW: These pictures were taken on my HTC Droid Incredible phone. So not the best, but surprisingly good for phone pictures.

Thanks! Yeah I really like it, and it is a TON better than the stock grille. I have yet to see a color I don't like the Midnight Chrome Grille on.

I've had the car about 2 months now... And last Friday my car got hit with a ton of ping-pong ball sized hail while I was at work, and our parking is all outdoor parking lot. Sooo... I'm meeting with my insurance company's claims adjuster and will be going to a body shop to get the work done... Hopefully they'll replace what needs to be... Everyone tells me they might just pop it out. That doesn't sound very good to me on a BRAND NEW car that I want to keep for around 5 years. Especially since I really want the car to look good and don't want the paint messed up.

I'd really like to get it detailed after this, but after eating my deductible I don't think I'll want to pay the extra amount, and doubt my insurance would even bite paying for that. Atleast not without trying to up my rate.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear this.... this really is terrible! You guys got hail in August!? Where on earth are you located? Anyway, best of luck with everything!

Yeah, after making the decision to buy a new car which... I was pretty iffy on, but figured I'd do it while I can. And then less than two months of ownership it got abused and needs work already.

And yes, hail in August, even though it has been really hot and humid here, and it was still in the mid 70's or so with the storms we had, first it started downpouring and within 15 minutes there was hail and it lasted for a few minutes, the size of ping-pong balls... I was at work and couldn't do anything but sit there and cringe and just hoped it would be fine... Funny thing is, out of everyone I talked to at work, the TL took the worst beating. A lot of people said they couldn't find anything, one of my buddies said he had a couple dents, but mine... lol... it was just a severe beating. I don't know what they'll do but I just hope that it looks new AND is sturdy.

The BRP is a great color. I wish they'd offered it with the 6MT. Come on, Acura, open up the color palet a bit more for the 6MT.

Tint is on the list as well as RJ grill. I hadn't thought about the headlights on the TL, just the RDX. But you are right it would look hot. After seeing your ride I think I will debadge as well.

Ha, told the wife I was debadge'n and she's not on board. She said, "I want everyone to know it's an Acura.” (she objected to me taking the dealer installed license plate trim off the Accord) l" I think I'll have to go covert on that one and see if she notices.
I really like the look, and after seeing yours realized she looks better without the free advertising.

I always debadge the emblems that make sense to remove. I'm not getting paid to advertise, or clutter up my vehicle. Could care less if people "know" what it is (an overpriced Honda, lol)

Picked up this 2013 FWD Tech with 8,200 miles at the end of July. Traded in a 2007 Accord EXL - V6. It's our 3rd TL, started with a 2000 2G, then a 2007 3G.
Have 11,000 miles on the odometer now and it is a pleasure to drive.
