Sorry Brian, but I disagree. Look at that thing-it looks terrific! And combined with the front grill, it's a "can't miss"!

that looks SWEET!!!

the reason the RJ body kit hasn't sold in huge volume is pricing... if Acura didn't have a body kit - he'd likely sell a bunch of kits because there clearly is interest in a body kit... the problem is that you can get an OEM kit shipped for around $1000, it is prepainted, and is straightforward to install.

aftermarket body kits are NEVER straightforward to install..you need a shop to do it. and you will need the RJ kit painted... custom paint work/install on his kit, plus the cost of the kit itself, means a RJ body kit is easily triple the price of an OEM kit.. when all is said and done... his kit looks good, but people are clealry happy enough with the less expensive OEM kit and pass on the RJ kit...

too bad, his kit looks good. if he could get it priced at/near the OEM kit (painted to match) they would sell like hotcakes...

Love how clean it looks. That blue just stands out. Any other mods planned? Have you thought about switching to air suspension?

Funny you should say that. My friend recently lost his E class in an accident so we had to take out the aftermarket air suspension. That got me thinking about it, so now im doing some research and pricing out a few different options. Do you have any advice?

They are several options to switch to air.
one option is to keep the tein ss coilover setup and just remove the springs and replace with UAS Airbags then use ACCUAIR to manage the system. This is the cheapest route to go but the problem is the UAS airbags that replaces the springs are so big they don't clear the front upper arm so you will need to do some cutting/filing and maybe welding to make it clear. also, the UAS bags does not clear the firewall so you'll have to cut and hammer in the firewall for clearance. This route can work but be ready for all the headache and cutting/hammering on your car to make it fit.

Another option is to get a direct fit air struts which is more expensive but no cutting or hammering needed.
Airrex is getting good reviews and have a air setup for the 4G that bolts right up. their air struts have been reviewed to rides smooth somewhat like coilovers and you'll even have the ability to adjust dampening. i like this setup it even have the threaded strut body which allows you to go so low you can basically lay frame.
Airrex sells the 4 air strut that is a direct fit to the 4G and then you get ACCUAIR setup to manage the system.

Here's an example of an Airrex strut

yea thats pretty much what i figured out from doing some research. I dont think the teins will be able to be used with the bag since the strut tube is too thick.

I contacted Ksport about their air struts and im just pricing things out. do you have a link for the airrex ones? I wasnt able to find any on their site.

AIRREX has an application for the 4G but its not listed on their website. I don't have a link of the exact one that goes on our car but am sure it's similar to the ones they make for the honda's but with different lengths so its an exact fit.
Call Marshall Lum at AIRREX 808-753-2938 he will be able to forward you info. They are in Hawaii so note the time difference.

With one closed thread and 37 ignorant posts that is unlikely.

Vivmike,is it really necessary to post garbage on an excellent thread such as Djtanveer's and against a member such as Nexon who has contributed much to Acurazine?

I think not and i am sure the moderators and other members will agree with me.

but i do like the idea tho.. i would do it but its costly and i cant afford it.. since i daily my ride.. maintenance is a bitch on bags.. the more you use it the more you have to maintain it.. and since this is my only car.. having it go out of commission due to a leaked air bag is bad for me..
