interesting. I hate the rear of the 09-11 and actually think the rear of the 2012-14 is a high point of the car. I always thought the gigantic tail lights on the 09-11 looked funky but to each his own. Eye of the beholder.

Stock does not have a lip kit. What he means is he does not like the rear piece of the kit because it is not well integrated with the bumper on the 12 and up vs the 09/11

Oh I see ! I like the rear of the car stock, not with the lip kit. Im not sure about the 09-11 lip kit as Ive never seen it on a 2012 .

^^ It will look exactly like a 09/11 rear end. Post #164 by Vidol is what he will be using in place of the 12. The entire rear bumper with the skirt and trim valance is changed to give his car the appearance of the pre MMC 4G. The only difference is that his rear lights will have the red chrome bezel as opposed to the silver bezel on the 09/11.

Personal preference. I specifically wanted a MMC TL BECAUSE of the changes to the front and rear end. To each his own. I will definitely get a roof spoiler when summer comes. Not sure what else I would do besides change the rims.

2009-2011 rear (with lip kit) > 2012-2014

I'm not a fan of them. And I'm not a fan of the location of the license plate either or the rear trim piece. I do like the lip kit more though.

You can fine them at www.calipercovers .com they are not plastic and they are not glued on . They add a nice touch to the car

Would love to see how the TSW's look. I am considering a few wheels from TSW for my 2012 TL: Mirabeau, Jerez, Amaroo or Sochi.
It seems you have to go to 20x10 to get a decent concave look with TSW wheels, so I am leaning away from the five spoke.

There is a up date on the rear lip that have 4 zip ties instead of 2 so it won't sag

Running the 12+ front with the 09-11 rear is definitely a mix match since the heights are much different. It does look good from the front and from the rear. Just notice it in the side shot.
