What are the differences in RV6 v2 and XLR8 v2 J Pipes

Not sure if there is a difference or not but I can say that I have had the RV6 for 5 years now and it's still mint, quality of material and welding is really good. It added a slight and subtle tone to the stock exhaust.

The only difference that I know of is the diameter of the piping. They all perform the same though.
RV6 is .25" bigger I believe which will allow a little more exhaust flow but it's larger than the factory exhaust so bound to get bottle necjed slightly. I have the XLR8 and my buddy has the RV6. Both great jpipes.

Can't say about RV6 but I have XLR8 V2. I literally found out a couple days ago that the portion before the collector is actually 2.5 and not the straight 2.75 as advertise or so I thought I read. RV6 claimed 3in collector while XLR8 V2 claimed 2.75in but it's actually 2.5in. Ain't think you can go wrong either way. Oh and them race team Hondas use RV6 J pipes if that helps with anything.

Our XLR8 v2 Jpipes are made here in America from T304 stainless steel. Everything is mandrel bent, CNCd, and tig welded for the best fitment and performance.
Our Jpipe offers better ground clearance, and (in our opinion) superior looks!
We dyno tested our Jpipe on a 2007 TL Type-S and saw 20hp/29tq in gains!
You can see them here: XLR8 J-Pipe - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist

I've had the RV6 J-Pipe on my car for over a year now and so far it's still holding up very well. I check on it every few months to make sure there aren't any cracks or anything like that and so far it's all good. You could see the pictures of my install here

Richie is also a very helpful guy if you have any questions during your install.

Would the 3rd cat delete cause the engine ligh to turn on? Cause im In Ontario, Canada, and are emission tests are really strick and you can't pass the emissions test with an engine light.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Is there anyone know the spacer thickness required for installing the cross brace for the xlr8 vs the rv6 for AWD? I beleive the more spacer thicknees the weaker the bolted connection will be. Also, does the ECU do a relearn, so the car can eliminate the performance gain from the bigger diameter jpipe?

The inconvenient truth
All I know is that the rv6 spacers are about 3/4 inch thick.

With regards to the ECU relearn and eliminate any gains..... look at the longer term picture, as you add mods and eventually get the K Tuner, all your gains will be retained once Tuned.

Thanks. 3/4" is a lot

that means the ECU will eliminate any gain and it's either do everything or nothing. Thanks for your inmput
For me that is a deciding factor.

Yeah that 3/4inch figure is really just a guess as I never measured them. They do seem to be a little overkill though, giving it more space than necessary. A 3/8 inch spacer would do fine.

Thanks for the photo. Can anybody comment on the required spacers thick required for xlr8?
