If you want a short ram for the 3rd gen TL you would have to purchase a K&N intake since it can convert to a short ram setup:

Tks for the response. The Takeda SRI in black looks sweet.

Just put mine in. Hot damn what a pain in the butt. Those hoses can really piss a guy off LOL. For anyone doing the install. It is a good idea to get a long nose plier. Especially handy if it is one of those with a slight angle to them.

For all that are asking for a SRI for their 3G. I had one in mine when I had a 3G and it was made by Weapon-R.

Remove the filter from the intake and lightly tap on a solid surface to restore to 85% air flow.
Vacuum the filter to restore to 96%.
Wash the filter with the optional Takeda Filter cleaning kit to restore to 100%.
This is a dry filter and does not need to be oiled,if you are going to wash the filter, remove it and spray it with the green power cleaner in the optional kit,let it sit for 10 mins and rinse from the inside until the water runs clear, wait until it is completely dry and re install.

Also total noob here guys. A bit confused. Looking at getting the Takeda SRI for my '12 TL SH-AWD. I've read that it can cause you to lose low end torque and will need a tune with it to run efficiently. Other places I've seen that there are noticeable power gains and doesn't specify that it needs a tune, just bolt in and go.

I understand that fuel economy will suffer if my foot is in it at all times but I would imagine there wouldn't be a big difference at highway speed with cruise control? I have been quite impressed with the car's fuel economy on the highway.

Help a brother out!
