Shock absorber recommendations

Trying to firm up the rear end on my 12 sh-awd 6AT. Not trying to get coils and Lowe the car or have a bumpy ride as I’ve driven cars with coil overs and not a fan to have them for a daily. Rear shocks have over 100000km on them and feel pretty soft. Want to know if I should go kyb, Monroe, any of the cheap Chinese brands, or just get oem Acura ones. Anyone who’s tried these and knows which one gives the firmest ride let me know please and thank you!

Stock replacements will be much firmer than the aftermarket ones from monroe, kyb, etc. Those are usually made generic for the softer 3.5L or for the accord. If you wanted firmer than OEM, you could go with Koni Yellow Shocks and turn them up to full stiffness or slightly less to what you want.

Stick with OE. I know it seems like a cop out answer but there are always compromises to other stuff.

I made the mistake of changing my suspension away from OE in my last car and regretted it.

I had Koni Yellow adjustable (set to max soft) & Eibach springs and the ride was stiffer than OE. The shocks all leaked and were replaced free. Two of the Eibach springs cracked and were also replaced free. Nice they had had the warranty but still had to mess with it, 10 months later, the clunking sound was back and the rears were leaking.

When I replace mine, I will go OE. The only question I have is if I can just do the shocks or if I need any of the other strut components (rubber pieces, etc).
