ported J35 intake runners vs J37 runners

So I finally put my J37 IM/TB on my J35 and have been thinking about the next step. P2R just started doing their porting service again, but since I have a J37 IM, wouldn't the J37 lower runners fit better against my manifold?

J series runners are generic across many applications. Some older models have slightly different runners. Get your runners ported, don't use P2R, unless you want to over pay.

If it's generic across them, would that mean there would be a mismatch between the diameter of the 'outlet' part of the 3.7 mani and ported runners? Who do you recommend? I don't have any local options for that kind of work. I'd like to keep the runners I have on the car now so I don't have any downtime.

No mismatch. For your info and future readers, a good way to get a cheap set of runners to port yourself or send out to port and not take your car off the road, buy J35 runners from a salvage yard off a J35 accord. PM me for pnp info.

Hey. So what's the benefit of swapping to the J37 intake manifold and throttle body?

There are tons of threads with that info.
There's more power to be had, obviously...
personally though I had rev hang and weird
throttle (probably because untuned)...I didn't
care for it.

Ahh ok. I've heard that term rev hang from the Accord Forums... Is that an automatic tranny issue? Or a CVT thing?

but if you have a J37 engine then it's likely the TB and ECU were expecting the amount of air you were putting through it.
Rev hang is when the rev hangs up at the high mark for a second before dropping back down. I don't know if it was
car specific but I had it with the magnesium intake with the zdx throttle body. It went away during the brief period that Dom
tuned it out when I was screwing around with flashpro.

I have 73mm TB so it is bigger than factory one:

He probably ended up having a kid or going to law school instead. That stuff takes up a lot of time.
