Curious if anyone else here is waiting for the CT icebox?

Have two customers waiting and no response from CT once so ever.

I'm friends with Nate up at CT, they had some problems with the plastic supplier, they just got a shipment in though thankfully.

Maybe K tuner can send them a question:
Why is the MAF housing incorrectly sized/engineered on what is supposed to be the best intake?

I'm curious about this too. I'd love to buy an icebox, but I'll stay stock for future tuning for now.

I was thinking about that too. The Icebox dynos did show a +16hp improvement over the stock cold air intake. They might have varied the size of the MAF housing in development to get some gains out of the stock ECU parameters.

I emailed CT a few times in the last few months to no avail... I also asked them about the icebox yesterday after seeing this IG picture and haven't received a response.

I emailed Termignoni (they make high end exhausts based Italy if you're not familiar) and they replied back. Although it took them a day or two. Their English was not that good but at least I got a response back and free exhaust stickers!

Sucks they can't respond to a simple email. Speaks volumes about their customer service or lackof.

Anyway, I was going to purchase an icebox but after hearing about the MAF issues. I'm just gonna stick with the stocks.

That's fucked ! We'll I guess I'll tell my customers I'll refund there money and we'll go somewhere else

It is not designed incorrectly, it is just larger than stock (I think like 1/4"). Your maf is calibrated to a certain size by the factory ECU. Without Ktuner, it makes it very hard to get back to back results. IF you can tune the maf curve (and it is a CORRECT curve), it will run right.

By far worst company ! I've been in this industry for 20 years and this is BS. One customer paid comptech for there box and they told him 3 weeks that was 3 maybe 4 months ago and now ignore him.

My suppler ordered them 3-4 months ago and told them a few weeks now ignores them like they are telemarketers .

BS service for a company who specializes in the acura honda world !

Then month ago says boxes will be out soon yet has no release date or answers there questions !

Are you speaking of the 4G TL intakes? CTE has told vendors those intakes are on an indefinite back order.

We carry the drop in filter, and we recently added the K&N Typhoon as cold air intake for the 4G. The typhoon series features a heat shield to keep intake temps down. Definitely worth looking into!

I ordered a supercharger from them 4 months ago, NO updates, no eta, nothing. Apparently they are a "pay and wait as long as they please" type of company. I really don't know how they are still in business.

From what I heard and seen, it seems like they're on their last legs.

all 3 of my customers ended up doing the takeda intakes and each one called me same day they left with how happy they where with the intake. Its not a bad intake.

Comptech can go pound salt. Ive delt with some shit companys and they are by far the worst !!

Its like paying someone on paypal money and they deleted there account feeling dealing with these guys. Very poor customer service, sorry there was no customer service !!

To be honest its a blow moulded box with a cone filter and a velocity stack. I could fab these up in a weekend with fiberglass box over a jig !!

You should do this and make it 3.5 compatible, you'd make a killing. Now that tuning is available you'd also have numbers to backup your product.

I was able to get in touch with them earlier, and their ETA for the Ice Box intakes is December.
