Whoa, calm down on the posts. You could of easily asked all that in one post.

Anyways, do you have the FWD or AWD? If you have the FWD, ATLP already has an exhaust out for you and yes it's a great mod and no it's not too loud. It's a perfect tone.

If you have the AWD, just be patient. ATLP is going to be working on an exhaust for us.....Yes it's going to be a great mod and no its not going to be too loud. Again it's going to be a perfect tone.

Yea, a project like this will surely take another 3-6 months at least.

i remember the first exhaust ATLP made... It was the V1 Quads for the Type-S. i waited like 5-6 months and i was the first on the list, and the first exhaust to be shipped out after the 2 cali guys got theirs

worth waiting for.

On a side note, whats the initial thought process on the tips? i do like the large pipes on the FWD exhaust... but was wondering if there was any plans to spice it up?

not sure of what other possibilities there are.

any creative folks who are good with photoshop?

There are a lot of ATLP products and one place to prototype/produce them. I think the estimate of supplying parts in 6 months is not totally out of line....given that we have RDX and RL people getting antsy (these parts already exist and haven't been produced in a while or at all) and 2g TL people chomping at my toes.

I think what I am going to do is put everything up for pre-order and whatever generates the most demand in the shortest time will get the nod first, and then progressively go from there.

Bring it on!

How much are we looking at for the pre-order? If you need I'll commit right now. Get the link built and consider my name added to the list.

Ok guys, it is just about time. I am going to shortly be contacting the 4g TL SH-AWD guy and the RL guy we have lined up to coordinate a simultaneous test fit and prototype/cost eval/final design/order taking session!

Just a lttile update I got from Marcus,

They are on their 2nd production run with the 3G TL and starting production with 2G TL. RL is seeing final R&D times, and will go into the 4G TL AWD. No exact timeframe, but will go as quickly as possible.

im sure it may sound slightly louder or throatier because of the extra .2 liters and the 'near true dual', unless they change the packing in the mufflers. I will keep knocking on Marcus' head and keep you guys posted

i think you can remove Fyah TL's name off the list, i believe he just converted to the XLR8 exhaust Lolz

I'm still holding out for the ATLP... ATLP's has always had a very unique sound to it, and I can't wait to hear the note on our SH-AWD

If we can get an updated list on who is interested and a separate list for those who is ready for a deposit, so I can send them to Marcus and see what he says. If it helps motivate things a little faster on his side, hat would be cool.

How much is the deposit - and I want some more detailed information on the exhaust. What size piping, some preliminary pictures, whether it be fab, or CAD - Right there's only one major player for the SH-AWD exhaust... If Marcus wants my deposit I need something eye candy in return

He said its going to be very similar to the FWD version, only difference is the y-pipe underneath the car. The designs are already there, but he is finishing up the design of the RL, and once that's done...we will setup a test fit for both the RL and TL at the sametime. I will confirm on the design, but I'm sure it will be the same as the FWD, if so, there are pix and videos floating around here.

I am not trying to start any drama but is this going to be pretty much the same as the Xlr8 exhaust just different tips and cat? I dont understand why everyone is worried about noise the tl does a pretty good job of keeping noise out I say let the bitch scream! I am interested in your exhaust seriously though it reminds me of the type s exhaust. I will be waiting!

^ the noise concerns are real, despite the manufacturer.

Acura engines are notorious for having drone, even with OEM equipment (very evident when downshifting)

Most of the catbacks produced on the 3G really amplified the drone, to a point of intolerance. Especially a non-resonated exhaust.

I've had numerous exhaust on all my TLs...I have the XLR8 for the 4G, but did not install it yet.

I had the ATLP, Non-resonated V1 quad exhaust on my 3G type-s. coupled with their J-pipe, Hi flow cat, and Rv6 pre-cat deletes... the noise was beyond tolerable in the cabin. i loved it to death, but really wished there was a switch to just "turn it off"... Any guests in my car, usually couldnt stand the sound for more than 5-10 minutes. Using HandsfreeLink became very difficult.

When you are on the highway, going 65mph at a steady engine speed of 2.2K rpm for 2 hours, the engine drone becomes really irritating. When you have a headache, and you just want peace and quite, you cant have it.

I know XLR8s new design use some special technology to minimize drone. Not sure if the ATLP setup will have the same

If i can make a suggestion, get the resonated version. it may give you .5 - 1hp less, but well worth the lower noise level.

IMO, the best exhaust ever on an TL, was the Comptech Catback for the 3G. perfect blend of sexy beast & humble dominance.

I like what someone did I cant remember his name on here or thread that I saw it but he put (dyno mat) i believe its called all over the inside of his car. He completely lined the trunk, doors, floor, and back deck. Not only did it obviously help with sound quality inside but helped keep outside noise to a minimum. I am seriously thinking of doing this because it really does help. I am looking forward to moding my car in the near future!!!

I dont know if I did that thing right we will see when I post this I guess.

Anyway, It really isnt a lot of weight if your some what conservative. Maybe just adding it to the doors and trunk and even maybe the rear deck wouldnt be much weight but would make a difference. I cant imagine that bit would add that much weight. You could always buy about a 100lbs of it and then add it where you want it. Thats not too bad.
