Air intake or not - 2013 FWD

The CTE Icebox is the only 'real' CAI for the car and those are pretty tough to come across since they aren't made anymore; the two intakes that are made for the car are the Takeda short ram and the K&N short ram.. Honestly you're better off keeping the stock intake. My advice is to spend the money on a j-pipe, it's the easiest mod to do and gives you a decent boost in power.
edit: alternatively you could get a j37 intake manifold and throttle body, it's a little less money than the j-pipe but it doesn't give you as much power since the stock exhaust is a lot more restrictive than the stock j35 intake.

Honestly it's personal preference. There's a guy on here who Dyno'd his car and saw loss on lowend and gain on upper end w/ the SRI. Not much but it was there.
I have one due to one reason: Sound. I love how it sounds, it really makes a very nice noise when accelerating and it's pretty sick IMO. Honestly I don't think it makes much of a difference (noticeable at least) powerwise. But it 10000% makes the car sound much better IMO.

I had the takeda Sri installed on my 2012 FWD for about 3 years.
Pros:
Sounds awesome but only under heavy throttle
Some power gains up very high in the rev band
Cons:
a significant loss in low end torque
i ended up selling mine after the novelty wore off, when I reattached the OEM intake it was a night and day difference in low end power for city driving, I didn't realize just how much torque had been robbed until then. I occasionly miss the sound but prefer having the torque back since most of my driving is city.

Speaking of intakes.... I'm not sure if anyone on here has done the 3.7 IM/TB swap, but I'm in the process of trying to get some kinks worked out and was wondering if it's possible to do the swap without changing to something like the Takeda SRI? Is it possible to get an intake coupler to go over the stock piping and fit over the 3.7 throttle body?
