Using USB devices for playing music
Just a tip here but if you want to use a USB drive to play music, the USB drive must be formatted FAT32 and not NTFS. If NTFS, "unsupported device" will occur during playback.
I'm guessing store bought USB's are formatted FAT32.
Hope this helps if you are having issues.

I think this has been covered in other threads.
It took me a while (duh!) to figure it out but I could not get my USB memory stick to work at first. Then I discovered that there are actually three "options" under the AUX button. You have to press AUX to get it to play from a music player via a connecting wire, or to play wirelessly via Bluetooth, or to play directly from a thumb drive via USB. All of my memory sticks play properly when I choose the AUX setting needed; I don't know about FAT except that it means file allocation table.

From XM, the HD FM radio, to USB and IPOD, usb and IPOD sound the best.
yes, the MP3 format is the most compressed format which takes away from the quality. the usb also recognizes .WMA which are not compressed. shut your face and do some homework first:

Whoa whoa whoaaaa.....I didn't call you any names, Hulk.
I still buy CD's and even burn them at higher bit rates on quality blanks.
In my opinion....you have anger issues. This forum is a peaceful community and we don't like name calling or other riff raff going on here. Now apologize to me.

how come every comment i read from you is some smart ass response. do you just troll all the forums and rag on people? Is that what floats your boat? 90% of what you say is worthless (i realize my hypocrisy in this). the other thread you were in, you and some other guy were just making racist comments to each other and saying he lives with his mom. what does that have to do with an acura?
if your gonna say my info is funny and you shake your head at it, then one up me and provide something useful instead of just wasting space.

Uh.... Let me know if your ears can tell the difference between FLAC (CD audio) and 320kbps MP3s. Yes, compressed MP3s (anything lower than 320kbps) sound awful, but if your source music is 320kbps, your iPod is going to play in 320kbps. The iPod 3.5mm jack is pretty crappy, but the 30 pin cable carries full quality sound.
