i have a 2012 tl with nav- want to store a single track from a cd. Prob is that each time you load a cd, it stores all or specific tracks (even if it's just one track) as a stored album, then you can store a track from the album on the HDD---
all I want to do is load a cd and save a single track from it on the system's HDD, without storing it as an album
any ideas?

I'm not near my car right now, but I do recall that storing a single track is possible. Once you insert the CD and the ripping begins, you can stop it and select only the tracks that you want to rip.

I agree- you can store individual tracks, but the prob is that it still will also store it as an album with just the one track. I'm trying to avoid storing it as an album and just putting the one track on a customized playlist

You can make a user playlist. The system will allow you to have up to six user playlist and store up to 999 songs. While the song is playing, turn the interface dial and select the track that you want to add to the user playlist, then press enter. The track option box appears, and select add to playlist. I hope this helps.
