Radar Detector power outlet

I have a 3rd gen TL. Looks like the power outlet on the 4th gen TL has moved. Anyone have any issues connecting an Escort or Valentine One radar detector to the outlet?

Seems like the power cord would be in the way.

I think hard-wiring is the best. That Blend Mount looks pretty good.

Hard wiring is good, but we just placed the V1 lower in the windshield and the cord doesn't seem to be an issue yet. The real problem is with the "remote" controller box. that starts to turn into a lot of wiring all over.

Why don't you just use the radar detector built into the tech package? The nav system will actually show the location of the police radar as you approach.
