I have a 2013 Tl with navigation. Since day 1 when you start the car and when you turn it off, you hear a pop sound from the right front speaker. Took it to the dealer and they said it was a bad amp and will order a new one. Anybody else with this problem.

 

I have not read of many amps going bad on this forum. in fact i have not read of one. However since you are under warranty, I would not worry about it.

 

Speaker is bad take it to the dealer its under warranty. This is not un-common esp if you push the volume frequently

 

I have an appointment to replace the amp next week. Lets see if that fixes the problem. The speaker sounds fine. Popping sound is when you start or shut off car, and is only in front door speaker. Some sort of power surge i guess

 

That usually happens with aftermarket amp delay's.

 

The only issue I've ever heard that was similar to this was on the Chrysler Town & Country Mini-van. Otherwise this is not a know 4G problem.

I just got a used amp for my 3G TL and the right front has a popping noise too from the engine, while running only... I may try to add this filter on the power input of the amp
