OEM Integration, Aftermarket Amp

I just installed a new system in my 2011 TL non-NAV and used an Audio Control DQ-61 LOC, which gets its input from the amplified output of the factory amplifier. My aftermarket amp is a JL Audio XD800v2. I am getting a ton of white noise from my speakers, and I can only assume it is from the LOC. Has anyone been through this dilemma before and if so, how did you go about your install? I was thinking of experimenting with connecting to the factory amplifier input as opposed to the output to see what it sounds like. Based on the connector pinout, it appears that the input signals are variable, which means it should work. However, I'm not sure how much amplitude there will be and if it will be enough to drive my xd800 amp. Guess I'll find out.
