Noob with lighting questions

Hey everyone, noob here, and noob to Acura's. I just bought a 2014 TL and I have a few questions about lighting. I tried searching but most of the stuff I found was from a few years back, so apologies in advance if I can't find the answers I'm looking for.

I would like to change out the rear turn signals with led's 7440A, but I'm confused on whether or not I need a flasher relay. Some sites say I don't, some say I will.
So, can I just purchase some on ebay like cree ones for a simple plug and play? Or will I need a flasher relay? If so, what do you guys recommend?
I would like to do the same with the turn signals up front.

Also, I'd like to change out the yellowish DRL's with some amber led's. What do you guys recommend here?
Lastly, don't like the yellowish stock fog lights... will going with whiter led's help? but I don't want to over shoot the nice headlight projection cut off line. Is that possible? Maybe some lower shooting fog light?

Thanks, and sorry if this has already been answered.

So for the fogs looks like i'll be going with these for that nice low cut off line. Found this from another member here.
I hate the open lamp style that blind people if you run HID's or LED's.
for the front and rear turn signals I guess I'll have to do the resistor thingy.

you'll need flash relay or in line resistors to fix hyperbllinking.

TRS has great bulbs so does v-leds.com. Those fogs you posted are sexy. buy em!

Oh I'd love to do the flash relay... I'd hate to pinch wiring lines with resistors.
You know what kinda flash relay I would need? And where to get them?
Thanks!

And yeah, those fogs are nice and pricey but I do think they're worth it.

Not sure if its applicable for the 4G, but for the 3G we do this: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...istors-815219/

Oh goodness I have a lot of reading to do. Great info though. I'd also hate to solder on this car... not to mention that I such at it. That's what I get for not paying attention in my electric class in high school.
Too busy flirting with the only two girls in class.
I did manage to solder capacitors on my 91 Talon's ecu about 15 yrs ago. I don't trust myself anymore.

I'll continue reading what you sent me. Thanks for the info.

Not sure where you are but if you do have troubles soldering, i don't mind doing it for ya, just gotta take off the relay and send it on over to me and i'll solder it on and send it back I've done it for some members before. Just not sure if the 4G Turn signal relay works the same as the 3G TL but the offer is there! just gotta pay for shipping both ways and the resistor

Nice, I'll research some more on the 4G relay.
I'm all over the SoCal area. From L.A. to the IE. Thanks!

Here are some pics of the new led morimoto fogs I installed on Saturday. I like that they aim downward and not all over the place like regular lamps do. They seem to have a nice cut-off line like I've been wanting.
I'll take some night pics and post them tomorrow. Anyone else have these? If so, what do you think of them?

Regular halogens with stock lamps.

I know this has been answered a million times... but what kelvin ratings are the stock hid headlights? I notice the fogs are a tad whiter and they claim they're 5500k.
I'm guessing the stock heads are around 4300 - 5000k?

Yeah but I deserved it. As soon as I hit the post button I could almost see those reading my question (including you) start to roll their eyes and say "search idiot".
I'll get over being a noob one day... I hope.

How well do you guys see in fog with the LEDs? Better than factory or worse?

I'll have to wait until late fall or winter time (if we have one) to find out. I just hate being blinded / blinding with open style lamps... especially with HID's.
I've been meaning to do so, but I'll take pics probably tonight with fogs on, and off.

Ray,

It's best to take headlight output shots from about 20-25 feet away from a flat wall so you can see the proper cutoff for alignment purposes. Grabbing a pic 2 feet away doesn't really help Curious to see what it looks like from afar and not only of the output but what they look like on the car as well! !

Yeah, I thought of that too, but I wanted to illustrate the cut off line up close compared to an open lamp... which I thought I had a pic of (darn)
I'll take it to a open parking lot and take better pics there (yeah, by bad). Give me a couple of days... my nights are busy right now.

Ok here are some pics of the LED DRL I installed over the weekend. A million times better than the ugly stock yellowish lights... and the high beams do light up brighter.

stock...

LED DRL amber...

Tell me what you think. I love them, and yes... installed resistors. No DRL errors.

Looks great! I've been thinking about doing the same but was concerned with the brightness of the LED compared to the stock bulb. Which LEDs did you use?

Add me to the list. Very interested in which LEDs were purchased.

Here's what I got from a friend that recommended this guy selling them on ebay. Got the plug and play resistors from a friend.

Here's another shot.

Do you happen to have any shots showing the light output in a parking lot or anything similar at night?

Where did you get your resistors from? do they work well to get rid of the hyperflash?
